Reviews-Wesley's Reviews-Season 1-Bart The Genius
THIS is the episode which cemented Bart to the ground of popiconism. THIS is just great.
The first PROPER episode aired (bar the Xmas special), it contains more than the average quota of Season 1 humour. Its high points include the opening scene of the family playing Scrabble - the 'Kwijibo' is just pure LOL! - and Homer not realisinghe has theword 'OXIDISE' written in his Scrabble letters. Bart's dream of the train is also funny, and IMO is the funniest moment of the episode. The Gifted School also brings a few laughs, most notably the paradox scene-'You're damned if you do and you're damned if you don't.'
There aren't really any notable bad points-perhaps the end was bit obvious but, hey, who cares?
The 2nd best of Season 1-a close runner up to 'Some Enchanted Evening'.
