Simpsonics Online-EPISODE REVIEWS
Season 2-The War of the Simpsons
By: Daniel Nefetou
This episode is pure gold, from Homer asking Maude for "peanuts at the bottom" so he can take a look down her cleavage through to Nelson's first 'Ha! Ha!'. Full of witty one-liners and hilarious sub-plots (Grampa pretending to cry, Maggie tearing up Marge's banknotes and using them as confetti), this ep showcases how a Homer vs. Marge marriage episode should be done. With solid characterisation and a sub-plot stronger than most, you would to well to fault it. Homer is atrocious to the point of jerkass but acceptable because he is totally wasted; his behaviour plays off Mare well.
All in all, one of the greats. I you haven't see an ep of this calibre, you haven't seen 'The Simpsons'.
