Pioneer CT-F500 cassette deck

The CT-F500 from Pioneer was the entry level cassette deck from Pioneer from 1978 to 1981 and was possibly the most popular deck that they ever manufactured. It replaced the very popular CT-F2121 in the Pioneer line-up. Whereas the CT-F2121 was one of the first front loading cassette decks and was in the transitional period from horizontal to vertical loading, the CT-F500 was fitted with the now familiar vertical transport mechanism.

Although an entry level machine it sports some impressive features such as Dolby NR™ and adjustable bias for Ferric and Chrome cassettes (no biasing is available for Metal though as they weren't introduced until 1979).
