JUST IN!!! Summerball will finally be played. That's right you heard me. The first game of season 2 will be held at Kent Stadium on July 27, 2002. There is suspected to be around 50 people to watch the opening game and opening game ceremony for the 2nd season. We will bring you all the results from the first day of summerball on Monday. Thank You!!!
THIS JUST IN FROM KENT STADIUM!!! The summerball team has only completed the semifinals the two finilist for the championship are Kevin and Dan. Reasults for wins only have been modifed below. the championship game will be announced later in the future. We will keep you updated on the lates news.
Kevin has won summerbowl I at the Summerdome!!! "It was a great brutal game," said Shawn Kistama pitcher of Summerbowl I. The 3-time championship said, "Wow! What a game. That took every muscle I had to win. Dan put me to the ultimate test. He has been in every championship game, but I have back to back to back championships. That is not an easy thing to do. Can't wait till next year!"

Origin of the game:
In the year 2001 the game of summerball was created. Three kids by the names of Shawn, Dan, and Kevin were playing baseball and cricket one day. They decided to create their own game and make up rules for that game. That game as we know now is summerball. Every year between July 1 and September 1 summerball is played. The orgin of summerball has started a new era of sports.
Rules for Summerball
1. First player to 10 points wins.
2. When one player reaches 5 points, players decide if to take a break, then they MUST switch sides for the second half of the game.
3. To determine which player gets to pick their side first, you must do the rock, paper, scissor, game. If a game was followed before the current game, then the player who won the previous game automatically choose their side first.
4. When all balls are out of bounds, then players must find them, and bring them back to the pitcher. Each ball brought back is worth 1 point. If you cross a street without looking you loose 1 point.
5. To determine the championship game each player plays 3 times and the two best play each other in the championship game, the third person becomes the pitcher.
6. When the ball is thrown you must swing at it, or you will loose one point.
7. A pitcher must stay with the same pitch once he confirms with the other two batters that he will be throwing that pitch. You are allowed 5 practice pitches before a game.
8. First player to 100 wins or 10 championships get a trophy and is named King Of Summer. If a player gets 100 wins and 10 championships in the same summer they get $100.
9. Both players when batting must use the same type of bat, regardless of the condition it is in.
