Killer Clans - UPGRADE!! Wow a super clean print recorded from remastered region 3 DVD. This is how it is to really enjoy this film! I'd rate the quality at least a 9.0.(9.5+ dvd) with eng. subs.

Shaolin Soccer - 2001 - modern day film very popular in HK with "kung fu" soccer! Eng.subs 8.5 Non shaw.
Wheels On Meals - 8.5 with eng. subs - 80's with Jackie Chan - non shaw.
Iron Monkey 2 - 90's with Donnie Yen 8.0+ with eng. dub. Non shaw.
Fantasy Mission Force - 1979? non shaw film with Wang Yu,Jackie Chan, Bridgette Linn and others. Eng.dubbed. 8.0
The Ring 1 & 2 - japanse version of the film that was just released in the USA.(this one was made before) It's supposed to be very good. Eng. subbed. 8.5

Devil's Dynamite - non shaw film with eng. dub. It does star a guy from shaw fame and one of the stars from Super Ninja. 7.5+
Art of Action - doc. of various kung films and narrated by Samuel Jackson. 8.0 and recorded off cable.

Whiplash - film starring Cheng Pei Pei with subtitles. This is a early 70's non shaw film with swordsplay/kung fu.
Finger of Doom - A shaw film that has swordsplay and made in the later 60's I believe. Guest star Ivy Ling Po. 7.0 picture quality.
Jade Faced Assassin - a slight upgrade to my previous copy with less tracking problems.(as I was told)
Hell's Wind Staff - kung fu action
The Miracle Fighters - good kung fu film from around 1980

Films just in Sept:
Thunderclap - another print of this film in LBX. The image is grainy(bad connection?), however the subs are mostly readable. I give this a 6.5..(not an upgrade)
Sleeping Fist - with Leung Kar Yan(of shaw fame)in this kung fu action film in LBX, Cantonese with eng. subs. Non shaw film in about a 7.5 image grade. Later 70's or early 80's.
One Armed Chivalry aka Point the Finger of Death - 70's film with Jimmy Wang Yu with good swords/kung fu action. Non shaw with english dub in a solid 8.0 image grade.
Asia-Pol - 60's shaw film with Wang Yu as a secret agent! Looks like a interesting film with readable subs and in mandarin. Picture grade in a decent 7+ to 7.5 and quite watchable.
G.I. Samurai - non shaw film with some crazy action with the miliatry vs. samurai. Kind of like where differnet time periods collide! With eng. dub full screen and a 7.0 image grade. It's watchable and interesting.
Tiger & Crane Fists aka Savage Killers - starring Jimmy Wang Yu and Lau Kar Wing in this action packed non shaw kung fu film. With Eng.dub, full screen and 8.0+ picture grade. 1970's.
A Cause To Kill - 1960's starring Ivy Ling Po & Kwan Shan in this modern day drama. It's neat to see Ling Po in regular dress and in a more standard role. Picture grade of 7.5+, mandarin with readable eng. subs & LBX.
The Killing Machine - non shaw 1976 Sonny Chiba karate/judo type film with good action. 8.0 to 8.5 picture quailty, eng. dub and with full screen.
The Enchanted Chamber - 60's shaw film with fantasy like elements and interesting story. Unfortunately this print has some tracking problems.. I hope to get a replacement soon. If not for the jumpiness I'd give it a 7.0+ image grade. Chinese language with english subs.
Films just in July/Aug 2002:
Cheeky Chap - starring Wei Pai of the 5 Venoms in this non shaw film. Looks like it was made either in the late 70's or early 80's. Eng. Subbed in in pretty good quality. 8.0
Portrait In Crystal - Jason Pai Piao in this early 80's film. This print has eng. subs, however they are barely readable.
I'd give the quality 6.0 to 6.5. The image has distortions.
One Foot Crane - this is a eng. dubbed version of this non shaw movie, starring Lo Lieh & Shih Szu. This film was made in the early 70's with about a 7.0 picture grade.
To Kill A Mastermind - this is a "fan" eng.dub version using snippets of voices of other films to make a "venoms" story. I've only watched the first 5 minutes and it's a bit rough, however it makes watching the film a bit more interesting. The picture quality is from 6.5+ to 7.0.(not as good as my other print) The action is watchable.
Proud Twins - subbed version, voices are a tad fast, subs are below the screen at times. Chinese language and full screen.. It's just watchable and I'd give it about a 5.5. and rough. Quite a find!
The Sentimental Swordsman - German print in LBX, starring Ti Lung. No english subs. and in german language. The quality is a bit better than the chinese camcorder I already have.. 7.5
Flying Dragon, Leaping Tiger - Cheng Pei Pei, Samo Hung in this "prequel" to Crouching Tiger? I'd think anywhere from 1998 and up? Looks like a high quality made non shaw film with good action.
It's in chinese with no english subs/LBX. I'd give it a solid 7.5+ to close to an 8.0
Lady Whirlwind - non shaw film starring Angela Mao in english dub. A non shaw film made in the earlier 70's in english dub. I'd give it about a 7.0+ picture grade and pretty watchable.
Boxer From The Temple - in LBX with english subs. The picture quality is a solid 7.5 and very watchable.
Shaolin Martial Arts - This is a SUBBED version of this shaw classic which I'd give about a 6.5 - 6.5+ picture grade.(due to slight image compression but quite watchable) The subs are readable. In any case, a neat find!
Lust For A Chinese Courtesan - Shaw film from about 1984. Set in old times with a picture grade of 7.5 and very watchable with readable subs.
The Black Butterfly - Swordsplay film which I gave about a 7.0 picture grade(image a bit soft but watchable) with readable subs. It stars Yueh Hua and Chiao Chiao.
Supermen Vs. The Orient - a Shaw film I was told and it stars Lo Lieh and Shiu Szu and made in the earlier 70's. I'd give it about a 7.0 grade. With english dub.
Killer Snakes - An offbeat sort of films with you guessed it, snakes! With english dub in LBX and a picture grade of about a 7.0. The print is a bit grainy but quite watchable.
Bamboo House of Dolls - stars Lo Lieh in LBX and with english dub. The picture rates a 7.5.
The Loot - non shaw film with David Chiang - Kung fu film with subtitles and a great upgrade to my previous print. An 8.5 & LBX
The Chinese Boxer aka Hammer of God - starring Wang Yu. This is a good upgrade to my previoius print and I'd give it a solid 8.0./Dubbed
Layout - non shaw film starring Chen Kuan Tai and Chen Kang Yeh. This non shaw film is close to a 7.0 - Note: This is in EP mode.
Godfather of Hong Kong - A Shaw film with Tsiu Siu Keung. Looks like a fighting films set in modern time. Note: this is in EP mode with the subs being fair at best. 6.5+ to 7.0 You can watch the action, although the image has some distorted edges.
Films just in the first week of June:
Brave Archer 1 - with subs! 7.5+ picture grade with easy to read subs, although sometimes cut off on sides. Still, a nice find indeed! An upgrade to my previous prints.
Brave Archer 2 - also with subs in original chinese language. 7.5+ picture grade. Upgrade to my previous print. Has a running time of about 1:56.
MUSA - NEW film with Zhang Ziyi of Crouching Tiger fame!!
This film is in korean language with english subs. Appears to be set in old warrior times with kung fu action. 2001-2002 8.5 picture grade. Not a shaw bros. film.
Invincible Eight - with Nora Miao and Angelo Mao Ying in Chinese language only. This is a swordsplay film made in 1971. Not a shaw film.
Just in 4-02 - 5-02
Sheperd Girl - (1964) w/Julie Yeh Feng, Kwan Shan, Chu Mu, Oyang Sha Fei dtr. Lo Chen. Mountain Village set "Huang Mei" musical drama; approx. 1:56 min.
The Lark - (1965) w/Peter Chen Ho, Carrie Ku Mei, Lei Ming, Kao Pao Shu, Chiang Kwong Chao. dtr. Hsieh Chun Contemporary musical comedy; approx. 120 min.
The Mermaid - starring Ivy Ling Po in this 60's opera style singing story. This is a clean upgrade to the one I already have. A solid 8.0 picture quality grade with english subtitles.
The Valiant Ones - 70's swordsplay film with english subs. Not Shaw brothers. 7.5+ to 8.0
A Touch Of Zen - film from 70's(?) that I believe is drama/with swordsplay(?) with english subs. 8.0 This movie is really long and is 177 minutes!
Blood of the Dragon - Non shaw film starring Wang Yu of Shaw brothers fame in this 1973(?) swordsplay film. English dub and I'd give it about an 8.0 picture quality grade.
King Drummer - old shaw brothers drama set in modern times. Late 60's? in eng. dub and quality grade about a 7.5.
Vermillion Door - old time singing opera style film starring Ivy Ling Po and I presume made in the 60's. Has eng. subs and quality is about a 7.5
Just in 2-02
Life Of Ninja - non Shaw film starring Chen Kuan Tai(of Shaw fame). This is kung fu/ninja action! Eng. dub and made in earlier 80's. I'd give this a solid 8.0 picture grade.
Fighting Fool - Shaw film in chinese with english subtitles.
The picture quality rates about a 6.5 on my scale. The subs are barely legible, although the action is very watchable.
Portrait in Crystal - with Jason Pai Piao in chinese language and in KOREAN subs, not english. The movie is very watchable and rates a 7.5, however the sound is very low. You have to turn the volume way up. From the earlier 80's.

Winged Tiger - with David Chiang(?) with subtitles. 7.0/ 1970's
Demon Strike(LBX)subs - with Leung Kar Yan and Jason Pai Piao in this non Shaw film. It's in the Shaw style however with good action. I gave it a solid 7.5 and would rate higher if not for some minor color streaking that pops up from time to time. Easy to watch though.
