Sharyn Tuzzolo Runs Boston Marathon For Charity
Sharyn Tuzzolo Runs Boston Marathon For Charity:
Sharyn Tuzzolo, an Occupational Therapist with the Beverly School System, will run the Boston Marathon on April 19th, 2004 for a very special charity-- The Sal Soraci Prize.
Salvatore Soraci was an associate professor of psychology at Tufts University who passed away last summer at the age of 51. Sal was a popular teacher and a well-known researcher in cognitive pshychology. Sal's pursuit of knowledge was unrelenting and his energy was remarkably infectious.
Sal also pursued a special interest--making learning easier for children with mental retardation and was a research scientist at the Eunice K. Shriver Center specializing in research for the field of mental retardation and developmental disabilities in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Sal Soraci's work for children with mental retardation and Sharyn's work for children with mental retardation and Sharyn's work with autistic and disabled children created the connection which has led to Sharyn's commitment to raise funds for the Sal Soraci Prize. A scholarship fund was created in Sal's memory. The scholarship will be awarded each spring to a Tufts student that best exemplifies the education virtues that meant so much to Sal.
Help Sharyn achieve her personal goal and her commitment to raise funds for this notable scholarship.
PLEDGE TO HER RUN.
