Sam Martin's B13 SE-R webpage

Welcome! to my SE-R page. I currently have 2, and always waiting on the next to show up. My daily driver is a 1992 with 200k miles on it at the moment. My race car is a 1991 with 142k miles. They are both Super Black in color.

My 1991 SE-R was found on Ebay only 25 miles away at the end of 2002. It had a blown motor with 3 holes in the block. Not a pretty sight at all. Most of the motor was basicly junk. The biggest part of the accessories were still in good working order
After salvaging all of the useful parts, me and a friend put a JDM SR20DE into his 1994 Sentra XE to replace a tired and worn out GA16DE that had recently spun a bearing.
Over the next few months the car started to change from a street car with no motor to a race car with no interior. Or much of anything else for that matter. I decided to weigh alot of the items to see how much weight could be saved by selling off or throwing away unused items in the car. Here is a list of what it was and what it weighed.

Stock front seats ~ 33 pounds each
Back seat ~ 10 pounds total
Carpet ~ 9 pounds
Door panel, rear trim, headliner, rear deck cover ~ 14 pounds
Trunk lining ~ 7 pounds
That was the easy to take off interior pieces. It starts to get harder when you reach this point and requires a little manual labor.
Tar and sound deadening ~ 26 pounds
Dash top ~ 9 pounds
Other dash panels ~ 5 pounds
Metal gaurd under steering wheel ~ 5 pounds
All HVAC parts in dash ~ 28 pounds
Radio ~ 2.5 pounds
Misc. metal brackets ~ 6 pounds
Dash wiring harness unused wire and plugs ~ 11 pounds
Seatbelts from the whole car ~ 17 pounds
Rear speakers ~ 1.5 pounds
Front speakers ~ 1.5 pounds
Front and rear bumper support ~ 53 pounds
Front and rear bumper covers ~ 11 pounds each
Side markers ~ .5 pounds
Front fender with splash gaurd ~ 8 pounds
Trunk lid ~ 31.5 pounds before cutting it out ~ 24 pounds after
Door ~ 81 pounds with all pieces
