Civil War Research

I am a member of The Sons Of Confederate Veterans Corsicana,Tx.
I have several family members who were confederate soldiers and enjoy researching the Civil War.Most of my family had no choice upon entering the war. They were from south west Tenn. southern N.C. and northern Ark.
They were poor dirt farmers who owned no slaves and not untill their farms were raided, crops burned, livestock stolen and family members killed or wounded did they enter the war.
