The eighth annual Scott Holubiw Memorial and Nekoosa Lost Arrow Archers Youth Archery Shoot will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2011 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Nekoosa Lost Arrow Archers.
The day is free and open to youth of all ages. Following registration participants will receive a safety briefing, followed by certified instruction on form and shot placement. Other activities will include a novelty shoot for beginning archers and qualifying for a limited 3-D competition shoot for more experienced shooters. Refreshments will be provided by the Wisconsin Rapids Area Optimist Club, and prizes are donated by many local merchants as well as friends, family and other donors who wish to remain anonymous.
Scott was certified as a Wisconsin Archery Hunter's Safety Instructor with a huge passion for getting youth involved in the sport of archery. This annual shoot is dedicated in his memory to carry on that passion and is sponsored by his family, friends, and local area merchants. The event continues to grow each year, so be sure to mark your calendar now and save the date for Saturday, October 8, 2011!!
Pre-registration is recommended and requested, but not required to participate.
Directions to Lost Arrow Archers: Take Highway 173 out of Nekoosa to County Highway G. Follow G to Rainbow Casino. Turn right on Creamery Road, which is the next road past the casino.
