They say that bears will spend the winter
holed-up in their dens
We're told that they will sleep
until the Spring comes again
Maybe they're not sleeping
through that long time spent in bed
If I was there, I'd asked those bears
how many books they've read
(and they'd say...)

Woodland critters have places
to hide things secretly
Squirrels will gather nuts

But bears, I think, keep all their books
in forest "li-bear-ies"

could study foriegn affairs
But the thing that bears like most of all
is reading about bears
