Science and knowledge
Various scientific resources here:
The science stuff blog is worth reading. It's not updated very often, but it's a good way to get bite-sized chunks of scientific education. The philosophical musings are worthwhile, too.
Hoppa also provides a good number of scientific resources. Lots of companies listed, including companies in far-reaching parts of the world.
WikiPedia is a pretty good resource, too. Take it with a grain of salt, though. This is a publicly edited resource, after all.
I would strongly suggest digging up a few good general purpose science books and delving right into them. People in the USA are fortunate to be around so many good scientific resources. I wish I had more of these around me when I was growing up. I'm sure that I would have been a better and more strongly motiviated student that way, and I would have learned a lot more. (Sadly, my parents were not very scientifically inclined. I really wish they had been. This is especially so of my mother, who had very little passion for learning. She didn't set the kind of example that I needed in my formative years.)
