Schendel Clydesdales

The year was 1996 when Schendel Clydesdales came into existence. Dallas and Pam Schendel had a dream: to have a Clydesdale breeding program that would evolve into a show hitch.

The couple was on their way with the purchase of their first two Clydesdales. They also formed a carriage and trolley ride company, offering rides for special events such as weddings, proms, reunions and parades. Even with the death of Dallas, the family continued to build on their original dream of putting together a show hitch.

Today, the family owned operation consisits of Pam, along with the Schendel's two sons: Justin and his wife Hope and their two children Jack and Elleanna; Nick and his friend Gina.

The Schendel operation has one herd stallion, Glan Y Afon Nicholas, with about 15 mares. Upto eight of our mares are bred each year. We have grown to an eight horse hitch. The carriage and trolley ride service also continues to grow.
