Please Help
This year has been a very hard year for us. I am a recently out of work computer consultant. My wife and I have only one child. So this year we wanted to make it special and took him to a local amusement park. We had a good time and planned on making this a good year.
The next day our neighbor in the duplex (a great older couple) fell to the floor with a brain anurism that had hemoraged. It took a while, but we helped her husband get her back home again and still take care of them now. :) Two weeks later though my wife who is an RN was diagnosed with breast cancer at the age of 32.
We have gone through the mastectomy and chemo. The radiation should be over by the first week of June. Her cancer was stage 3. A 4 cm mass in the breast with a mass of lymph nodes removed from her armpit. A total of 13 out of 16 had been fused together. It's been very hard on us, but we are getting through each day.
After all of this her hospital has now put my wife on "per diem" with instructions to managers not to use any of them because of cut backs. Seems the hospital is in the middle of a huge recontsruction and can pay 6 million for an entrance to it, but can't keep nurses. Now she has lost all of her benefits after 8 years of work.
So what am I asking help with? We are attempting to pay bills and get them out of the way so I don't want help with that. We have been told that she has a less than 50% chance of remaining cancer free within the next 3 years. So a prayer or two on that would help. :) What I would like to do is take my family on a really nice vacation this summer. One that can be remembered before anything else bad happens. My son is seven and I just think that maybe if anybody is needing to bring a little joy into someones life then maybe you can think of my small family and help us out a little.
