Bodhisattva Avalokiteshvara

Avalokiteshvara is the Bodhisattva of compassion, an embodiment of all the Buddhas' compassion. He has one face, four arms and two legs crossed in contemplative posture. His two front hands hold the whish-granting gem at his heart, his rear hands hold a rosary and a lotus.

This painting is made in Nepal by a traditional painter. The frame brocade is from India, silk cover is from China and framed by a Tibetan tailor.
