*Tibet is Burning - Enough is Enough!
Five have died including a nun. These unprecedented and truly desperate acts are a cry to the outside world for help.
"Friends for Tibet -Pilipinas' will join the global show of support for Tibet and it's people on November 2, 2011 in Cebu City.
Two Holy Mass will be sponsored for the monks who have sacrifice their lives these past last months. Both mass intentions will be at 6:00 PM at ... (1) Lourdes Parish, Punta Princesa and at (2) the Redemptorist Church, Queens Road.
Also a +++candle vigil+++ will be held at the Chinese Consular office in Cebu City by Chiong Hua compound on Nov the 2nd (2011) at 6:00PM. Please joined us and show your support for Tibet and it's people.

Two Holy Mass Intentions are scheduled on this March the 10th:

[2] Redemptorist Roman Catholic Church | 5:30 pm | Uptown Cebu City
The following statement will be read during these two Holy Masses:
"For all those who have loss their lives and currently suffering in Tibet. May the Tibetan people be granted full religious and basic human rights. This Holy mass is sponsored by Friends for Tibet - Pilipinas."
Also a video presentation of "Fire Under the Snow" will be shown (to start by 7:15pm) at the Manhatan Chapel; Tabada St, Mambaling, Cebu City. An informal discussion/talk about Tibet will follow. Everybody is invited on all above activities.
****22April2011 - "Earth Day Celebration"
CoF joins the global environmental celebration by doing a cleanup of a chosen place or putting a seed bank for future tree planting activities in the Province of Cebu (Central Visayas). Our environmental group is currently working with "Camp Red" and the "Outdoors People" group in setting up a seed bank for future tree planting in the outskirts of Cebu City, specially along the Napo-Babag mountain trails. This project is on-going, please feel free to contact us if interested to join or help in this project.
Based in the central Visayas region of the Philippines, CoF was first setup (in the early 2003) to help emphasized the situation on Cebu's (Province) delicate environmental problems. Focusing on the importance of preserving it's highly endangered remaining endemic forest, mangroves and wildlife, whatever is left of it.
In 2006, CoF-Tibet was setup to support the Tibetan people's struggle for self determination. The Tibet issue would always come out in our circle of discussion.
We would like to invite those who share the same sentiments, (either/both the environmental or the Tibetan issues) to please join us in our future actions/projects here in the queen city of the south.
We salute all groups and individuals currently engaged in actions to help preserved and protect the fragile environmental state of the long island of Cebu.
To express our solidarity with all the Tibetans (both inside and outside of Tibet) who are at the forefront of this resistance. This movement started from the communist Chinese occupation of their country in 1950's, to the peacefull mass protest actions being held worldwide todate. We remenber all those who have lost and given their lives for this endeavor.
