PROSTITUTION HARMS :-
# 1 - PROSTITUTES :- In a major study of prostitution in Oslo, criminologists Cecile Hoigard and Liv Finstad found that all the prostitutes they studied, suffered long-term psychological damage from prostitution.
A prostitute told a 1997 public meeting in South Perth (Australia) that her madam sent drugs to her girls in their rooms - while publicly claiming her brothels were drug-free.
# 2 - MEN :- Men may use and abuse prostitutes - but they can also be manipulated by prostitutes, and become addicted.
Some men go into debt or steal to feed their sexual addiction. Even when condoms are worn, men can catch pubic lice, genital herpes, scabies and genital warts from prostitutes.
# 3 - WIVES:- Studies show about 80 % of brothel customers are married men who cheat on their wives. Men who use prostitutes may pass on to their wives diseases caught from prostitutes.
Condoms do not protect against scabies, lice, genital warts or genital herpes which are transmitted via skin contact . There is treatment for symptoms, but no cure for genital warts.
Genital warts are the main cause of cervical cancer. This cancer can be cured, but may require surgery which prevents child-bearing.
# 4 - CHILDREN :- Dr Eileen Byrne, who worked in U.K. child protection for 20 years, said in 1991 that legal prostitution in Europe has made it much harder to rescue child prostitutes there.
Dr. Chutikul, women's adviser to the Thai Prime Minister, told a 1995 United Nations Women's Conference that acceptance of adult prostitution in her country has caused rampant child prostitution.
JESUS SAID :- "Things that cause people to sin are bound to come, but woe to that person through whom they come. It would be better for him to be thrown into the sea with a millstone around his neck than for him to cause one of these little ones to sin." (Luke 17 : 1 - 2 )
