Skill Summary.
A wide on-offshore range of experience in heavy equipment maintenance. Managing and supervising day-to-day preventive maintenance (P.M.) using a computerised maintenance management system. (C.M.M.S.) Modify equipment and machinery using management of change documentation (M.O.C.) to improve reliability and fully utilise downtime. Simplify and initiate a systemised overhaul programmes. Prepare and co-ordinate daily work activities in the field and workshops. Training mechanics and helpers in correct troubleshooting and maintenance techniques. Evaluate and rectify records of spare parts to justify the financial commitment held in stock levels. I am an experienced caterpillar engineer specialising in complete equipment overhauls on all current diesel and gas models. (30oo to 36oo series engines) Fully conversant with all non current caterpillar units including earthmoving, material handling, power generation, marine power and oil field equipment.
Rigorous use of unit salvage techniques and root cause analysis to achieve maximum cost effectiveness.
I have developed several engine service tools and related service techniques, which are now in general, use worldwide.
