The Russellville Police Special Resonse Team was born in 1999 in response to growing national and local crime.Though the team is still
young our eight man team has received some of the best training that money can buy.Our team has trained as far away as Virginia,but most of our training has been done at the DIRECT ACTION RESOURCE CENTER in
Little Rock,Arkansas.We have also been supplied with some of the best
equipment that money can buy.
The eight man SRT trains every two weeks.We have trained with several other juridictions that are trained to make entry in the same manner that we do, which makes all of the teams that much better and could possibly triple the size of any of these teams in the event of a major crisis.
