British comedian Rowan Atkinson has entertained us all through his numerous work, including his most loved character Mr. Bean. His other well loved shows including, The Blackadder series 1 through 4. The Thin Blue Line (in which he plays Inspector Raymond Fowler), Not The Nine O'Clock News, among many,many others including his stage and screen. The only feature film he did starring himself entitled "BEAN: The Ultimate Distaster Film". NOW FOR THE PERSONAL STUFF: Rowan was married in February 1990 to Sunetra Sastry, a BBC makeup artist. Rowan and Sunetra have two small twin children named Benjamin and Lily. Rowan and his family live a very large estate (as he is a multimillionare) in the very exclusive town of Waterperry, just a short drive down the M1 motorway to the BBC's Pinewood Studios, where he films most of his shows. Rowan Atkinson's passion is cars. He owns many vintage Aston Martins, which is his favorite car. He buy's them and fixes them up to like new and then sells some of them, except his favorites, which are many that he keeps for his collection, Rowan is a vintage car collector. Rowan has a graduate degree from Newcastle Universtiy in Engineering and then went on to Oxford University to take Electronics and, Electronics Engineering for which he has a Masters degree and graduated the first in his class, with the highest honors available. He also owns and is prsident + C.E.O. of his own Production Company called TIGER ASPECT PRODUCTIONS. Rowan was born on Jan./6/1955 in Stocksfield, England very close (just a short drive)to Newcastle-Upon-tyne. His Father was a gentleman farmer named Eric and his mothers name was Ella May. Rowan has two brothers named Rupert and Rodney. Rowan's full name is Rowan Sebastian Atkinson. Rowan's first school was Durham Cathedral Choristers'School, he then earned a scholarship to the prestigious St. Bees Public school where he was a very bright pupil. Then he went from there to the two Universities listed above. After graduating Oxford he made the odd choice to give his previous as an Electronics Engineering career choice to go into acting/comedy instead. Which was fortuitious for all us fans, or we wouldn't have his comedy today. Rowan atkinson has many awards including a USA Emmy Award for his work in "The Lion King" as "ZaZu the parrot", working with Disney for the first time. He also was the winner of the prestigious BBC personality of the year 5 CONSECUTIVE YEARS RUNNING, there are many, many more prestigious awards he has won over the past 25 years Rowan Atkinson has been acting. Rowan is the Queen of Great Britain's all time favorite comedian, and is invited to the palace frequenty to take Tea at the Palace with the Queen ElisabethII, Among other various and numerous royal functions he has been asked to attend by the Queen.
