YOHI's GREAT CLASS OF 1971 (Nile C. Kinnick High)
YoHi's Class of 1971 was the last to graduate from Nile C. Kinnick High School, while it was in Yokohama, Japan. Those 118 students were told to follow the old Chinese proverb which says, "A journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step." As the yearbook said, "Once we shall step forward, we shall never turn back, for we shall never forget the fact that we were the greatest Senior class that has ever been seen in the halls of Yo-Hi...and the last."
Now we have reconnected with many of our friends from those hallowed aqua blue halls of YoHi. Many of us left our hearts in Yokohama, and we have rediscovered our extended red devil family. Reunions occur regularly around the country, as well as in Japan. We may or may not have been the "greatest" class, but we were Yokohama's last.
Alumni from the Class of '71 are now busy with family, careers, and other interests. Many of us have found the time to re-establish or build new friendships with other YoHi Devils. It has been wonderful to hear about each other's successes, as well as to give support to each other during trying times. Please check out the links below to find or rediscover your YoHi spirit.
