VictoriAnnie's Nursery, formerly known simply as, "VictoriAnnie's, is proud to once again, open it's doors on Ebay. All of my "reborn" babies are one of a kind creations, using wonderful Secrist paints and techniques of applying thin layers of color to achieve realistic, natural skin tones. And, as important, is the fact that the coloring on each doll is permanent and, with normal care, (avoiding direct sunlight, etc), the colors will not fade.
Open eyes are replaced with more realistic ones and hair is micro-rooted with wonderfully fine angora mohair. Lashes are replaced with more realistic ones and often, brows and lashes are hand rooted as well. Nails are given baby finished, natural appearing manicures.
Finally, their bodies are sewn and limbs assembled, using non- clumping fiberfill, contained micro-sand (or other sterile medium) and poly-pellets for weight; then sealed.
I search high and low for just the right clothing to fit each baby and make most of the beautiful day and Christening gowns and romper suits you will find in my auctions. Their sizes range from extra small preemie to new born.
I specialize in Elegant and Romantic Victorian Era, Shabby Chic Style, Cottage Style and often incorporate many vintage textiles and designs into my beautiful handmade and handworked items. Many include hand beading, silk ribbon embroidery, and hand turned ribbon roses, not to mention the use of vintage embroidered handwork, incorporated into clothing items.
I personally create all of my own work and always use high-end materials, trims, fringe and embellishments. Because of my particular designs or availability of materials, many of my items are either one of kind or limited quantity items. I often incorporate antique and vintage linens into my finished products. Please feel free to email me with any questions or special requests.
