John Paul II's Support of FIAT



On August 19, 1988, Cardinal Suenens informed Pope John Paul II of the F.I.A.T. Group. He received this answer:

"I thank you for your letter of August 19 and congratulate you with joy on the welcome initiative which your Eminence has undertaken with the F.I.A.T. group in order to help Christian homes and believers in many countries to prolong the spirit and the good effects of the 1987-1988 Marian Year, in particular through the fervent celebration of the Nativity of Mary 'who brought to the world the hope and the dawn of salvation'.


May the Most Holy Mother of Christ the Redeemer assist you in your apostolic work! I bless you with all my heart.
