How it got its nickname:
Delaware was the first state to be in the United States of America.
Historical events:
-The first state in the United States.
-Got its name because that's what the English settlers called the natives in Delaware, the Lani Lenape.
-One of the smallest states in the USA.
-Used to be part of Maryland then seperated.
