Things into Which Angels Long to Look..1Peter 1:12
The story is told of when all the saints are gathered into heaven, and with the angels surround the throne of God singing hymns and praises to God. All of heaven is filled with this glorious singing when suddenly a hush falls throughout the halls of eternity.
There is an air of expectation. The angels silently fold their wings and gaze in wonder upon these saints, the redeemed ones. They listen in silence, longing fill their eyes as they listen to voices of God's children as they sing the song of Redemption.
Angels have witnessed many wonders throughout the timeless ages, but nothing as marvelous and wonderous as this. They rejoice with God as sinners found refuge in God's salvation, yet they never experienced salvation, forgiveness, the hope we enjoy.
We may be a "little lower than the angels" but when we are redeemed by the blood of Jesus Christ we are elevated into a joy they can never experience. Rejoice in your salvation, in your redemption.
All glory to God, through our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ. Amen
