The Takeover

A year ago, Randi was devastated when her fiancé decided he wasn't ready for marriage. Now her business is in trouble, and she needs to raise funds to save it. She travels to Italy, and gets the money she needs. Randi returns too late. Her company has been taken over by her ex-fiancé, Jake Mathews. He proposes they get married to present a united front to the industry, with him signing over 50% of the business to her in return. But whilst Randi realizes she still loves Jake, he is still keeping something from her. But what?

Mary Suzanne's The Takeover is a charming novella that provides the reader with an enjoyable, quick read. The two characters are fairly well developed, with the story being told mostly from Randi's point of view. The plot is well paced, and the tale itself is well written. This romance is rather sweet, with an unexpected plot twist or two. As a reader, you will appreciate Jake's astuteness and feelings for Randi, though you can sympathize with what Randi goes through upon learning she is no longer owner of her company. There are some sex scenes, which do get described though not crudely. The Takeover is a very good read, perfect if you are a romance lover with little time to spare or fancy a quick little something.

Riley did not know why he agreed to come along with his brother to meet his wife at the airport but the moment he spotted her and her guest, he willing for anything.

Jade is sensational! Mary Suzanne is pure dynamite! She has all the ingredients to one sizzling romance, intrigue, lust, sex, romance, and love. You will have to come and read this amazing story then you will see why I enjoyed this book so much.

What’s lurking under your bed at the motel you’ve rented while on vacation?

You’re probably wondering why I posted a picture of a dog with a binkie in her mouth. There’s a story behind the picture that should make everyone wonder about the motel room they rent while on vacation. This made me stop and think and to check more thoroughly where I’m renting to stay.

Before leaving on their vacation trip to Florida, my niece called the motel for reservations and asked if she’d be allowed to bring her dog along and let her stay in their room. She was assured by the manager that it was the policy of the motel to let a pet remain in the room with its owners. My niece and her family arrived in Florida with her dog Zoey along.

When they checked into their room, no one bothered to look around at their new home for two weeks. While my niece was busy unpacking, she wasn’t paying attention to her dog Zoey. She disappeared under the bed, and her husband had to coax her out only to find their dog with a binkie in her mouth. Her husband snapped the picture, thinking it was cute.

There was one drawback over the situation for my niece. She, too, thought the site of her dog clutching a binkie in her mouth was cute and she wouldn’t give it up, but then she began to think about how clean the room could actually be, or if it had been cleaned at all. If a maid vacuumed the room and under the bed, how had she missed the item undoubtedly left by the people occupying the room before them?

After hearing their story when they returned and looking at the picture, I decided from then on when I checked into any motel to make sure I looked at the room more closely. You might find something lurking under your bed that you don’t want to see other than a binkie.

How many have found things in a motel room you’ve rented that had been left by someone occupying it before you arrived? Did you report it to the manager of the motel, or just forget the unusual experience and hope to find a clean room next time?
