The Rock begin their Senior football Championship this sunday evening against Ballylinan With what should be a very difficult opener.The Rock who had a very poor Championship last year are hoping to make amends this year and with the long over due return of the Buggy brothers to the fold should be able to give a good acount of themshelves this year.The rock have fielded some new players this year in the league champain and none have impressed more than young James Macdonald who has settled in brilliantly in the defence.The Rock have got what seems to be a nice blend of footballers this year with the experiance of Tommy Macdonald and Derek Conroy in the defence John Delaney and Mark Dunne in Midfield and Paul Dunne and John Macdonald in attack accompanied by some new young footballers should have their supports confident of qualifing for the second round.BUT WE'LL JUST HAVE TO WAIT AND SEE!
