We Train Puppies!!
Thank you for visiting our site. I am a small family breeder ( we raise cockapoos, maltipoos,malshi's,morkies, poodles and maltese!) and a dog behavior specialist located in Louisville Kentucky. I have worked with dogs all my life and specialize in getting puppies off to a good start for families as well teaching a few older dogs some new stuff. I want each puppy to be well socialized for their new families especially families with children. I don't particularly like the word "trainer". I specialize in behavior, why dogs do what they do naturally and I use that to my advantage when working with puppies and my families. I specialize in smaller breeds.
I am more than willing to work with my families and get their "out of control" dog or new puppy back IN control as well. There are no bad dogs, but plenty of untrained dog owners who unwilling have allowed their family dog/puppy to take over their lives. My job is to teach YOU how to be a better pet owner, how to deal with unwanted pet behavior and have a happy well adjusted dog. Most importantly so families live their lives as they want and the DOG fits into YOUR life, not your life complelety changed because of your dog.
If wanting a new puppy trained, they must be at least 6-9 weeks old to start training. I have 2 different trainings available. Basic and Extended training. Basic is getting your puppy on a routine, sleeping through the night in their crate with NO CRYING when he/she comes home, the start of going to the bathroom, play time, feeding time and all aspects of your puppies care is done on a schedule. We give you a print out for you when your puppy goes home so you can follow exactly what we have already done. We take all the work out for you!! This basic course takes about 10-14 days depending on your puppy and breed.
Our extended training, is 3 weeks long. This is all the above but we have added teaching your puppy to walk on leash, to come to me, and more work with behavior management. This entails proper play manners, looking for signs of food or toy aggression and working with the puppy if this is a problem. We work with puppies on how to have proper interaction with humans, teaching them not to chew or bite on us, and much more. Your puppy will come home with approximately 80% of your work done for you including housebreaking. Though we cannot promise to completely housebreak your puppy, he/she will be well on their way when I send them home. For the smaller breeds, we also teach them to go outside as well as teach them to go to a "cloth rubber backed" pad that is washable. This can be used to go in a laudryroom, a deck or just a spot you want your puppy trained to in your yard. When your puppy goes home you get a 4 page print out of your puppies complete routine. I go over training techniques and what to expect with your puppy.
Regardless of which training you want or need, we also send along my booklet on the do"s and don'ts of raising a puppy to adulthood. We want all our canine friends to have a forever home and getting them trained right from the beginning is the key to success. A happy puppy becomes a happy dog, and that means happy OWNERS!!
You will also have access to me for the life of your puppy by email. I will be happy to answer all your questions if having problems down the road. If phone calls are necessary, I charge $50 per hour. If I have to come to your home, it's also $60 per hour plus the cost of my flight or driving time.
Regardless I take pride in having well behaved puppies for my customers. I have many to attest to my ability of their puppy. Please feel free to ask for references. I will be happy to give them to you!!
For those of you who would just like someone to come to their home and get their puppy or dog on track, set up a schedule for you, and help you do it from your home, I will be glad to do this for you as well. We also do conference calls for those of you who don't need a full visit but would need advice on what to do.

If buying your puppy from me, please call or email for prices as your rate is cheaper!!The prices for puppy training below are for customers that already have a puppy and need help with training.
PRICES for Puppy Training:
Basic training: Small Breeds: $350
Large Breeds: $450
Extended Puppy Training: Small Breeds: $500
Large Breeds: $600
*****Home Training for Problem Dogs or In Home Puppy Training****
For Clients in Louisville or within a 2 hr drive of Louisville prices as follows:
$200 for first 2 hr session and $50 an hr for every hour after.
Clients out of state for Home Training for Problem Dogs or in home Puppy Training:
$450 for first 2 hrs, $50 per hour after. This includes a 3 hr driving time only. If longer drive time, then it is $60 per hour for each additional hour. This is based on mapquesting from my house to your house. I will drive up to 6 hrs only. If flying is necessary then the lowest available fare to you will be added as well as $60 for flying time over 3hrs.
Conference Calls for Behavioral Issues:
$50 per hour and minimum of $25 per call. You will need to email me and set a time for your conference call. Due to popularity, you will actually make an appointment to have your conference call.
