Praise God! Welcome to RighteousGirl24's Scene

1- Proverbs:

Proverbs are 915 sayings or maxims, most of them of Solomon, based on the idea that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom (1:7, 2:5, 3:7, 8:13, 9:10) ... a great manual for the success in life of a youngster... or an adult.

... A fear of the Lord which consists in respect to God, worship, reverence, praise... and the best way is following His Commandments, repeated over 20 times (2:1, 3:1, 4:2,4,10, 7:1)...

The Commandments of the Lord are not meant to restrict our activities, but like the Laws of Traffic, they are to help us to live a happy and wealthy and healthy life... if we pass the red light or drive into the sidewalk or outside the road, we may hurt others and ourselves... like the lost sheep or the prodigal son of Luke 15... they are great for today, after Christ!.

To drive a car, we need the accelerator and the brakes... the accelerator in life is the love, the brakes is the fear of the Lord... we go nowhere without accelerator, but no one would dare to drive without good brakes... both of them, love and fear, come by faith.

1 My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you.
2 Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye.
3 Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart (7:1-3).

Psalms is to be read and lived on our knees... Proverbs is a book of wisdom, to be read standing, living our lives at home, at work, with our neighbors... Pursuit of wisdom brings happiness and prosperity, while the path of the folly leads to destruction.

- Chapters 1-10: For the youth.
- Chapters 11-20: For men and women.
- Chapters 21-30: For kings and leaders.
- Chapter 31: The perfect wife.

Topics include fear of the Lord, wisdom, knowledge, correction of God, parents, child rearing, good and bad women, the value of a good wife, the tongue, prudence in speech, honesty in commerce, alcohol sobriety, fraud, laziness, poor and rich, the importance of a good reputation, joy and sadness, generosity, friends...

There is another Book like Proverbs, the Eclesiasticus of Ben Sirach, but larger, with 51 chapters, also beautiful and very practical. Sirach is not in the Protestant Bibles.

Wisdom and Knowledge... Rhema ad Logos:

Proverbs shows two ways to know God: By "Logos" and by "Rhema"... by "Logos" is an intellectual "knowledge", like when you study the properties of an apple, the color, chemical composition, external and internal structure... but you still have not tasted the apple!... when you taste the apple, that's "Rhema", "Wisdom".

When Abraham or Moses heard the voice of God, that's Rhema... when we study the Bible or listen to a good sermon, that's usually Logos... both are very important, but you can never forget Rhema, nobody can argue you against it!... you experienced it!... you know!...

All the miracles in the Bible, that's Rhema... When you ask God for help in a difficult situation, and the problem solves without any human explanation, that's Rhema...

Paul and Isaiah also distinguish between the gift of Wisdom and the gift of Knowledge (1Cor.12:8. Is.11:2)... Proverbs teaches: Get wisdom, get understanding... Wisdom is supreme; therefore get wisdom. Though it cost all you have, get understanding. (Prov.4:5-7, all chapter 4, 2:6, 3:13,19, 5:1, 8:1,9,11)... How much better to get wisdom than gold.
