OCTOBER SINGER OF THE MONTH
Mark Short begins this year's first Singer of the Month. This year's competition will include singers from all of our venues. Be sure to log your vote for the Singer of the Year after you read about Mark!
Mark rocks out at both of our area locations in Auroa, and North Aurora. First joining us in May of 2008, he has become a regular at Ernie's, as well as The Dirty Duck. Born in London, England, 37 years ago, it's no surprise that this versitile singer is a big fan of Elton John's.
Mark's song choices usually include everything from show tunes, to Phil Colins, Elton John, to Tenacious "D". Mark does a really nice job of translating these songs to karaoke.
October's singer is a big movie fan, and claims several pieces of movie wartrobe as his own! He also owns a large collection of movie props, including, the whip from, Indiana Jones, and Samuel L. Jackson's lightsaber from, Star Wars.
Cooking is a passion of his, and ice cream is a personal comfort food. Mark asks if there is any problem that ice cream can't solve?
Dance/Europop music, is Mark's fav, and he claims The Pet Shop Boys, as his favorite band. Among his favorite tunes he includes, "Don't Let The Sun Go Down On Me", and, "Can You Feel The Love Tonight".
Mark is often found enjoying a Mike's Hard lemonade at our karaoke shows. He says that among the things he enjoys about our shows is the fact that, "Rick does a good job of getting in as many songs for each singer at every show".
While Mark doesn't call to mind any favorite misunderstood song lines, he does point out that NATC karaoke discs are the winners of incorrect words displayed on the screen,(I agree)! Congrats to "Marky", our October Singer Of The Month!

The final two will be competing for several prizes. The prizes include: $200.00 cash, and a disc of twelve custom recorded karaoke tunes. Their picture will be posted up in our Singer of the Year Gallery, along with a biography.
