in Ship-loads and Container-loads

We can offer :

Raw White Basmati (and Non-Basmati) Rice

Parboiled Basmati (and also Non-Basmati) Rice

A
The Basmati Rice is generally offered in 20 Foot container-Loads.
Whereas the non-Basmati rice is also shipped in Ship-loads of 12,500 MT or higher (also in smaller or larger capacity vessels)
- from Indian Ports of Mumbai / JNPT; Kandla; Alang;
New Mangalore; Tuticorin; Kakinada; Tuticorin; Port Haldia: �..

- FAS (Free Along Side) at the Port of Loading; or
- FOB Stowed and Trimmed (FOBS / FOBST) on board the ship; or
- C&FFO / CIFFO Any Safe World Port

OR

B.
- in 20-Foot Container-loads C&F liner terms - any destination* in 50 Kg Woven PP Bag Packing, 360 to 420 Bags (i. e. 21 MT Maximum) Per 20 Foot Container is possible.


One needs to stress and reiterate the importance of clarifying as many of the following points to ensure earliest finalization of the business enquiry in hand :

Specifications of Rice :

1.a
Whether the Rice is 'White Raw Rice' OR 'Parboiled Rice' ?

1.b
Whether the rice is 'Long-Grain', 'Medium-Grain', or 'Short-Grain' ?

1.c
Broken-Grains : maximum % acceptable
(1 % or lower � for basmati) and 5%, 10 %, �..upto 100 % Broken for Non-Basmati Rice)
Whether the grain which is less than 3/4 (or 2/3) length of the average length
of the subject Rice Grain (variety) is to be considered as Broken-Grain ?

1.d
Moisture : maximum % acceptable; (Generally 14% Maximum is the Norm)

1.e
Damaged and Discoloured Grains : maximum % acceptable;
(Max. 3 to 4 % in lower priced varieties � naturally occurring in the particular season)

1.f
Chalky Grains : maximum % acceptable;
(only in respect of Raw Rice, since Chalky Grains disappear in Parboiling Process)
(Generally a 0.5 % to 3 % naturally occurring in the particular season)

Black Grains : maximum % acceptable;
(only in the case of Parboiled Rice since the Parboiling Process gives rise to over-burnt
black / charred grains) (Generally a 0.5 % to 2.5 % occurring in the particular batch)
The Black Grains can be eliminated by subjecting the rice to Scanning on Sortex M/cs)

Un-hulled Grains : maximum % acceptable;

Quantity : indicating the % More Or Less acceptable in the case of large / ship-load quantities;
and Shipment Schedule

Price idea : ( or a Purchase Bid)
clarifying whether the Price is to be FAS (Free Along Side); FOB Liner; FOB Stowed and Trimmed (in the case of chartered freight);
C&F Liner; C&F Charter party [i.e. C&F FO (Free Out); C&F LO (Liner Out)]
AND whether Insurance cost is also to be included
i.e. CIFLiner; CIF Charter party [i.e. CIF FO (Free Out); CIF LO (Liner Out)]


04.
Packing : in bags or bulk: if bags, whether 'Jute' or 'Woven Plastic PE / PP'; Jumbo - indicating Nett Weight per bag;

05.
Destination Port Parameters :
Berth / Quay parameters, Draft, etc.
to determine the size of vessels serviceable at the Port
Facilities at the Port : Gears / Cranes; Moving Beltsto facilitate unloading
Discharge Rate Per Weather Working Day (PWWD) :
Destination Port :

Exact type of Financial instrument and its clauses :
such as Documentary LC 100 % Sight, Irrevocable, Without Recourse, Unrestricted,
And in the case of Ship-load quantities ;
Divisible and Transferable (Allowing 3rd country transfer of the Charter Freight amount payable to the Ship-Owners- who could be of Third Country),
LC Opening Bank Particulars :
If Lc is to be established by a Bank which is not an acceptable Prime bank, Name of the Prime Bank that will confirm the Lc,

Commissions, if any should be included in the offer :
i.e. whether the offer should be FASC1; FOBSTC1; C&FC1, C&FFOC1, CIFFOC1 implying
that our offer should be inclusive of a commission of 1 % (which is unless specified is on the FOB value of the goods)

Others such as Name of Independent Inspection Agency for Pre-shipment Certification,
Insurance - whether to be included in the offer,

Receipt of not necessarily all, but whatever possible of the above particulars
