Bruce Stephen Cassidy

It is with deep sadness that the family announces the sudden death of their dear son, brother and uncle, Bruce Stephen Cassidy,
52, of Eagle Plains, Yukon, formerly of New Glasgow. Bruce passed away on July 16, 2009 in Dawson City, Yukon. Bruce was born in Halifax on May 25, 1957, the youngest son of Raymond and Jean (Fraser) Cassidy and enjoyed growing up in New Glasgow with his family.
His memory will always be treasured in the minds and hearts of his parents, Ray and Jean Cassidy, his brothers David (Paula), Is. East River;
Rick, Calgary, his sisters, Karen, St. Albert, AB, and Cheryl (Huck MacInnis) Millstream; nieces, Pamela, Tanya and Ashley Cassidy and nephews, Graham (Kara Wood) and Steven Cassidy Sueann Syms) grand nephews, Brett Hayman and Zachary Cassidy.
Interment will be in Heatherdale Memorial Gardens, Sylvester.

Cassidy, John George

Westville – John George Cassidy, Victoria Street, Westville, passed away in his 87th year, on November 2, 2008, in the Aberdeen
Hospital, with his family at his side. He was a son of the late George and Emma (White) Cassidy, Saint John, N.B. He served in the Royal Canadian Navy for four years during the Second World War. He worked in the Drummond and McBean Mines for many years. He was a member of the Draegermen Corp. and assisted at the Springhill Bump in 1956 and again in 1958 at the Springhill Explosion. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margaret (Fitzgerald); son, John Cassidy (Lillian), Stellarton; two grandchildren, Genesta Grant (Robert), Park Falls; and Jeffery Cassidy, Calgary, Alta. He is also survived by a brother, Raymond Cassidy (Jean), New Glasgow; brother-in-law, Bob Rankin, Westville; and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was predeceased by brothers, Edward, Westville, and Arthur, Saint. John. Burial will be in the Holy Name Cemetery

GARNIER, Alice Martha - 85, Lower Sackville, b. 18 Oct 1920, passed away Sunday, 27 November 2005. Born in Prince Edward Island,
d/o Ruben and Sadie (Chowen) Good. Survived by her daughters, Joan Currie, Annapolis Valley; Diane (Donald) Frizzle, Prince Edward Island; son, Everett (Rita Sullivan) Jardine, Lower Sackville; 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; brother, James Good, Winslow, P.E.I. She was predeceased by her 1st husband, William Jardine; 2nd husband, Patrick Garnier; son, David Jardine; granddaughter, Kelly Jardine; sister, Hazel Watts and brothers, Jack and Gordon Good.

GARNIER, Anthony - Stephenville Crossing, NL. Passed away suddenly, ANTHONY GARNIER aged 80 years on June 04, 2004.
Leaving to mourn his sudden passing, his wife Gladys of 56 years, nine children: Curtis (Dorothy), Churchill Falls,
Isadore (Dolly), Shallop Cove, Sharron (Clarence Louvelle), Stephenville Crossing, Melita (George Bennett), Stephenville
Crossing, Cavelle (Clyde Snook), Flat Bay, Clifton (Pauline), Goose Bay, Stella (Werner Binder), Ontario, Angela (Tony Sheppard), Ontario, Kevin, Stephenville; one sister, Angela Benes, Stephenville; sixteen grandchildren, nine great grandchildren,
many nieces, nephews relatives and friends. Predeceased by granddaughter Trina Garnier, November 1999. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 8th at 11:00 a.m. from the Assumption Parish, Stephenville Crossing.

Stephenville on Sunday, October 6, 2002 at the age of 80 years. He leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories his children: Rick (Teena), Truro, Nova Scotia, Fred, Richmond Hill, Ontario, Patricia (John), Mississauga, Ontario, Todd, Scarborough, Ontario, Peggy (Clay), Etobicoke, Ontario, Mary (Kevin), Ola (Bernard), Colette, Shelley, and Candy; 9 special grandchildren:
Dana, Stephanie, B.J., Sarah, Chantal, Steven, Kaitlin, Nicholette and Jenna. He is predeceased by his wife Gen Wall.

Garnier, Harold Lewis b. 30 Aug 1914 in Halifax, d.16 May 2005 in Halifax. son of the late Arthur Garnier and
Pheobe Romo, grandson of the late Louis Garnier. World War II veteran.

Garnier, Jean 67 of Forrest St., North Sydney passed away suddenly Thursday June 10, 2004 at the QEII Health Science Centre
Halifax. Born in Burin, Nfld., she was a d/o of the late John Earle and Daisy (Mayo) Kirby. She is survived by her husband Lonnie Garnier; four sons, Lonnie Jr. (Paul, Big Bras d'or; Kirby (Lori) Sydney; Frank (Melanie) Burton, NB; Blair (Jane) Ball's Creek; one daughter Edith Garnier, North Sydney; two brothers Bill Kirby, (Colleen) and Clive Kirby (Violet) both of Sydney Mines; 11 grandchldren: Mark, Ryan and Bhreagh Caldwell; Tanya and Natasha Garnier; Kailey, Shane, Victoria and Colton Garnier; and Andy and Joshua Garnier. Burial in Holy Cross Cemetery.

MRS Mary L. GARNIER 1884 - 1944
North Sydney, June 1, 1944 - This Northside community today mourned the death of one of its best known and most highly respected
older residents, Mrs E F Garnier, 60, who passed away in Hamilton Memorial hospital at 6:00 o’clock last evening. The wife of Councillor E F Garnier, Pleasant street, she had been confined to her home for the past two months and had been a patient in hospital the past nine days. Her death came as a shock to members of the family and will be laerned of with regret by many friends.
A daughter of the late Fleming[sic] and Isobel Dunlap, the late Mrs Garnier was born at Mill Creek, C.B. and has been a resident of
North Sydney for twenty seven years. She is survived by her husband Councillor Garnier, retired businessman, two daughters and one son. The daughters are Miss Zita Garnier, North Sydney and Rev Sister Agnes de Sales, in New Waterford and the son is Michael Garnier, residing in West Lynn, Mass. Also surviving are two sisters Miss Johannah Flemming, Sydney Mines and Miss Josephine Flemming, Sydney. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery.

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Theresa Elizabeth (Garnier) McDonald announce her passing on Sunday,
June 9th, 2002 at the Western Memorial Regional Hospital in her 66th year. Left to mourn her loving husband, Kevin, four sons, Joseph (Glenda) of Deer Lake, Louis (Lisa) Corner Brook, John (Gail) and Michael (Cylia), both of Deer Lake. 5 grandchildren: Heather, Joanne, Ryan, Matthew and Andrew. Her brothers and sisters: Melinda Garnier, Kevin Garnier, Pauline Kennedy of Deer Lake, Bernice Delaney and Mary Wilson of St. John's, Odel Rideout of Toronto, and Louis (Joan) Garnier of Moncton, NB. 12 Dec 2005 in her 76th year. Joan White beloved wife of the late Richard Pilon. Dear mother of Sharon (Steve MacDonald);
Debby (Terry Matcheskie); Gail (John Dillon). Also survived by 11 grandchildren, 1 brother Carl in Chapel Cove, Nfld, and 1 sister Lucy Sheppard at the Bay St. George Long Term Care Centre, Stephenville Crossing. . Burial was celebrated in Sacred Heart
Roman Catholic Church, Cobden, Ont. Friday 16 Dec 05 .
