RYUKYU BUSHIKAIKYU RENMEI
The Ryukyu Bushikaikyu Renmei is open to all who are interested in the research and practice of the traditional martial art ways and how they apply to us today.
The goal of the Ryukyu Bushikaikyu Renmei is to perpetuate, enjoy and learn from the traditional Okinawan martial arts and the Chinese root arts they came from.
The practice within the Ryukyu Bushikaikyu Renmei is called Ryukyu Bujutsu.
Ryukyu Bujutsu is an inclusive training theory to traditional Okinawan martial arts. We focus on practical applications that are simple, and functional in modern day scenarios. We do not sacrifice the traditional purity of the Okinawan arts as they are the core of the system. We use the traditional knowledge as an encyclopedia to learn from.
We believe in the precept of Renma (Practice to perfection)
We have a system of basic self defense precepts called "Core". Core is the very essence of the motion and practical application of that motion in a precise group of easily learned techniques. Core is taught in a progressive manner. Building upon the previous concepts and techniques creating a very strong self defense system for modern day tactical scenarios.
We also offer a short course called “Common Sense Self Defense”. It has been successfully received by many groups as informative, empowering, and fun. “Common Sense Self Defense” walks you through four levels of defense concepts and techniques for modern times.
You are welcome to learn from our experience and we would be very appreciative of an opportunity to learn from you.
No politics, No egos, No one is a "Grand Master" as we all are students. Some of us have just been around a little longer than others. We are all on the path of learning. We can all benefit from each other. Please check you egos at the door.
The theories and concepts we employ can be added to your current martial arts training.
