"Six's bridge" or "Six bruggetje", by Rembrandt van Rijn. Etching: 12.9cm x 22.4cm.
Signed and dated: Rembrandt f 1645.
This etching is one of the only 5 copies in the world !!!
This etching is a copy, made in Munich by author, who is stated in regular descriptions as Anonymous, but who is very well known to a seller (buyer gets all the info; of previous owners, author etc.) who made it very similar to original, which is situated in London.
This etching has a mark on the backside, a countermark - "ATELIER CARTOUCHE".
The original etching is almost priceless, but is evaluated on approx. 250.000 €. This copy is evaluated on 20.000€ as the starting price for the auctions and its maximum price could be some 40-50.000€. The value of it, through the time, would be set by the market (auctions or similar) or by the level of buyers interest in this particular piece of art.
The seller/owner of this etching is situated in Zagreb, Croatia, and the price is still negotiable!
