The Sex Positive Conversation Salon

Join us for this Conversation Salon where people reveal the parts of themselves they never thought they would share with anyone... let alone with strangers! Why does this happen at the Conversation Salon? First of all, we make a very safe environment for people to just be themselves. Judgements are gone, and everyone is perfect as they are. Secondly, everything that is said, stays here. No one's name or story will be shared outside of the Salon unless you personally get the OK from the people. If you have been here, you know how it goes. If you have never been here, don't be afraid. People are very welcoming and kind. You share as little or as much as you would like. It is very common for some people to just sit and listen to everyone else. That is totally fine with us! So, come join us and let' talk sex. Haven't you always wondered what others really think???

Inner Wisdom Healing

Come Learn about Inner Wisdom Healing and The Relaxation Response. First we will get acquainted with some ice breakers and awareness activities led by Jeanetta. Next, you will meet our guest speaker who will be Dr. Joseph Cobbs. He will be presenting a short lecture on Stress, how it affects you and what you can do about it, as well as a live demonstration of his INNER WISDOM HEALING techniques. Dr. Joseph Cobbs is a healer with over 25 years of clinical practice and combines knowledge of Applied Kinesiology, Rehabilitative Therapy, CranioSacral Therapy, Spinal Neuro-Reconnection, Vector Point Craniopathy, Neuro-Emotional Technique, and Chinese Energetic Therapy as taught by Dr. Yuen and Dr. Bartlet. With Spinal Neuro-Reconnection, Dr. Cobbs increases nerve energy at the spinal level and energetically resets any weak point in the body systems. The weak points may be physical, mental, emotional, psychological, psychic, spiritual, or a combination of these systems. The body heals itself. The body is made of 75 to 100 trillion cells. The brain checks each cell millions of times each minute through impulses from the brain down the spinal chord out the spinal nerves to the cells. The body always knows what is out of balance. Movie Night and Conversation

Each month we will present a different thought provoking movie that addresses topics of interest such as sexuality, sensuality, and relationships. Our movie of the month will be "Heavy Petting" (1989), followed by an open discussion of the film. HEAVY PETTING is a hilarious and salacious exploration of the sexual mores of the 50's as seen through the eyes of a generation that lived through the Sexual Revolution. Creative baby boomers-- including musician David Byrne, performance artist Spalding Gray, comedian Sandra Bernhard, radical activist Abbie Hoffman, and poet Allen Ginsberg-- candidly recall their sexual coming-f-age tales in intimate interviews. Joyously campy and refreshingly carefree, HEAVY PETTING blends humorous, unbelievable footage of unhelpful sex-ed films with classic snippets of THE WILD ONE and Elvis' hip gyrations, not to mention Bernhard talking about playing "doctor", always observant Ginsberg on a disastrous encounter with a girl, and Byrne on the childhood myths of masturbation. The Best of the Best Medicine

Perhaps you have heard the saying, "laughter is the best medicine". Well, what you will experience during this event is "The Best of the Best Medicine"! Experience "Animaged Laughter with Feelings"! Based on the philosophy of connected breath, slap stick and the use of a feather learn to address, connect and release/let go of toxic feelings and have the greatest laughter you've ever experienced in your life! This class will last about an hour and a half. Author and Holistic Leader Joel Vorensky with four decades of expereince and a Psychology Master's in Human Behavior leads this zany unforgetable class! Please join us! We are having a Pot luck meet and greet. This event will be a great opportunity to meet with others who are interested in transforming their lives. We will get acquainted and expand our awareness with some ice breakers and awareness activities led by Jeanetta. Gather to discover the best ways for seeking healthier relationships with others, ourselves and the universe. If you are willing to experience more joy and abundance in your life - then you have come to the right place. Allow the members of this community to be your mirrors. Together, let us explore, experience, reflect, reconnect, co-create, contemplate and find it. Please plan to bring a tasty dish to pass and your own drinks. I will have spring water available for you, plates and utensils.
