On the 17th Decemeber Rec Rovers FC faced Low United in the League Cup. The game took place at Belhus, a home ground for both teams. It was a victorious win for Rec Rovers managing to score 10 to the oppositions 2. Rec Rovers faced Quayside B in the Quarter Final on the 11th March 2001, not the best performance by the Rovers but a 2-1 win over Quayside puts them through to the Semi-finals.

Else where, Le hope played Keys B on the 18th February, and a surprise victory for Keys B in a 3-2 win over the league leaders. Whilst Quarry Hill played Tilbury Rivals Essex Oaks, 4-1 the final score, a good win for Quarry Hill. Quarry Hill met Keys b in the Quarter Final and the result was decided by a penalty shoot out, Rovers will now face Quarry Hill on the 1st ApriL.

Due to the departure of Greenways from the league, Concept are through to the Semi-Final playing Dilkes Park who beat Sandmartin 3-1.
A dramatic game from what we saw Dilkes Park were playing with 10 men after a man being sent off, Concept were unable to use the advantage and the final score after extra time was 2-2. however, due to a good keeper Concept are through to the final!!

Rec Rovers played there Semi-Final against Quarry hill on Sunday 1st April. We watched a good game of football as expected as both teams at the top of the table thought until the final whistle. Quarry hill gave Rec rovers one of their toughest games of the season but held strong. Final Score Rec Rovers 5 - 2 Quarry Hill. A quick mention must go to Scholesey, so far it has to be goal of the season. From at least 35yrds out and right in the top corner! Well done rovers!!

Rec Rovers now face Concept in the final on the 13th April 2001 at Lakesdie.
