How it all Started:

Rec Rovers Football Club was established in May 2000. A group of friends from South Ockendon, Essex. Decided that they all loved playing football so much that they should form their very own football team.

Those behind the team:

Ian Scott, took the post of Chairman and Manager.
Claire Baker was appointed as Club Secretary.
Paul Clarke joined the forces as Assitant Manager in the early stages of the season.

How we got on in Our first season:

So after our first season in competitive football, we are Champions of the Division Four League Cup and Runners Up of Division Four. We have been promoted to Division Three A of the Circus Tavern Thurrock Sunday league.

Heading for division 3A 2001-2002:

Ian Scott stood down as Manger to concentrate on his playing responsibilities.
Dave Cayless, ex Rec rovers player took on the post of Manager.
Paul Clarke still assumes the role of assistant Manager and also joined the squad.
Claire Baker carries on the duties of club Secretary.
