The mothman
described as a 7 foot tall mothlike creature with red eyes, was first seen in Clendenin, West Virginia. by a couple driving by an old TNT plant. they claim to have seen a giant birdlike creature rise out of the plant.
They were so frightened, they sped away at 100 mph. but even at that amazing speed, the creature still tailed them!
after a couple miles, the creature flew away to a nearby wood.
Another sighting had more bizarre results. At about 10:30 on that same evening, Newell Partridge, a local building contractor who lived in Salem (about 90 miles from Point Pleasant), was watching television when the screen suddenly went dark. He stated that a weird pattern filled the screen and then he heard a loud, whining sounds from outside that raised in pitch and then ceased. “It sounded like a generator winding up” he later stated. Partridge’s dog, Bandit, began to howl out on the front porch and Newell went out to see what was going on.
Bandit suddenly ran out after two large glowing red eyes.
Newell ran in for his gun, but was to scared to g oback out.
Bandit never came back. what scared Newell the most was that on the fallowing night, he was watching a news report about a couple who saw a dead dog being dragged away by a great mothlike thing.
That was just the beggining of a series of sightings.
Not long after the couple drove the terrifying drive,, 5 gravediggers were finishing up a grave saw a giant 'brown human thing' rise from nearby trees. they nor anyone else can explain the insidence.
The abandoned TNT plant soon became the 'lair' of the Mothman.
