Advice & Hope For Those In Need
This site is dedicated to all those who need hope and insight for today. It is meant to lift your spirits and give you strength to face a new day. I will answer as many family friendly questions as possible so if there is something on your mind please write me at the e-mail address on this site. I have been through many of lifes trials and tribulations and felt inspired to try and help others through the lessons I have learned. A Personal Story
From the age of 8 until around 13, I was sexually abused by a close relative. That changed my life forever and caused me to go from child to adult overnite. I have lived with that nightmare since. Even though I have learned to cope, it has taken me years to overcome. It destroyed my innocense and my self worth. It even carried over into my adult life. I was unable to maintain a marriage, married and divorced 3 times and somewhere in between was in a very physically abusive situation that I didnt think I would live to get out of. I had no self esteem, no confidence, and no self worth. I prayed that God would take me out of this world because I didnt have the strength to go on. I felt that everyone-including God-had betrayed me. I couldnt trust anyone. I spent many nights at the police station after sneaking out my bedroom window to avoid being beaten. I didnt even receive hope from the police who told me "they could arrest him but he would be out in 24 hours and they couldnt be with me 24/7."
I somehow found the strength to get a job, start going to school to better myself, and gain confidence. I finally gathered enough dignity and strength to get out of the situation. I know that I am one of the lucky ones that make it out alive, but I feel that there are lessons to learn from every situation, be it good or bad and that everyone has a purpose here on this earth, and mine is to help-to the best of my ability-others that have gone through or are going through some of the same things I have.
My life since that time of abuse hasnt been easy, mostly because of bad choices I've made along the way, but I continue to try and find the lesson in each circumstance and take the knowledge I learn and put it to use in my life now. There is a wealth of knowledge and wisdom to learn in our everyday lives if we just get back to the basics, enjoy the simple things in life, and maintain hope and faith.
God allows us to go through certain things not to be mean or cruel, but to make us stronger. We may not know exactly why something happens to us now, but He has greater wisdom and knowledge and we must realize that its His plan that is in effect in our lives and he will walk with us through the good times and the bad.
I worked for a well known company for 7 years and was laid off due to them selling out to another company. That new company decided to down-size and relocate to another state. It has been nearly impossible to find a job in the area I live in, and I worry constantly about how I will provide for my children since I dont receive child support or any other supplement. That is why I have been inspired to create this website. I believe that this is what I should do with my life at this time and that by helping others I will also help myself. A burden was laid on my heart to create this website for others and I know that as long as I am doing what I should I will receive the support I need to take care of my children.
