Summary of Professional Experience

Mr. Crescenzi has over 4 years of experience in Geographic Information Systems (GIS). His experience includes GIS work in such industries as Department of Natural Resources, Utilities, City Emergency Management Agencies, and Military. Mr. Crescenzi has worked on large-scale data conversion projects with over 150 employees converting paper map to digital and merging data from legacy systems. Mr. Crescenzi has an extensive background in project development, management and onsite training. Course work has included advanced training in ESRI applications such as ArcGIS II, ArcGIS 9 and Geoprocessing CAD Data with ArcGIS Mr. Crescenzi has over a year of senior consulting experience and in that time has worked with his Military client in a manner that has helped them to better understand and develop there goals and provide a clear plan to achieve them while reducing overall implementation impact on other processes currently in use. This has added in GIS’s transition into the organization and has helped to integrate other business processes into its development plan.

Significant and Relevant Experience

Booz-Allen-Hamilton Civil Business Segment, McLean Campus, Senior Consultant, Infrastructure Team
Current Client: Installation Management Agency (IMA) Northwest Regional Office Plans Division of the US ARMY, acting GIS Coordinator. Current duties include implementation of the Office of the Secretary of Defenses (OSD) Installation Visualization Tool (IVT). The IVT is a GIS process developed to create a more standardizes installation map. This process has been developed to generate a more consistent map by creating stringent data and map standards Army wide to aide in command level decision-making. Mr. Crescenzi is the primary contact responsible for coordinating the response to GIS data calls from US Army installations to Headquarters Department of the Army (HQ).

Accomplishments:
· Coordinated the OSD IVT GIS data call for all of the Northwest US Army NWR and National Guard installations.
· Initiated IVT Quality Assurance Plan and FDGC data standards for the required data layers in the NWR.
· Responsible for reviewing and initiating new policies and taskers from HQ IMA.
· Developed a NWR GIS working group to aide in the expansion and development of GIS in the region.

Millennium International Technologies, Inc. Oakbrook, IL.
GIS Analyst - Commonwealth Edison OMS Data Purification Project. March 2003-February 2004
Responsibilities included GIS electrical data purification, procedure documentation of 22 unique Smallworld tasks, quality assurance lead, and coordination of production staff.

Accomplishments:
· Development of processes used for problem identification, documentation and ultimately the resolution of current database errors.
· Developed database queries, and restructuring of cleanup processes that have contributed to project goals to be completed at a third of the estimated time.
· Coordinated meetings pertaining to project needs, constraints, goals and perceived ways of increasing efficiency in future database processes for client.
· Developed methods of obtaining database uniformity between Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition (SCADA) mapping system, Passport and Smallworld databases.

Commonwealth Edison / Exelon Corp. Willowbrook, IL.
Quality Assurance Team Lead for Commonwealth Edison’s electric GIS project. This was the largest data conversion project of its type in the Midwest. The projects key goal was to convert existing electrical network data for downtown Chicago and connected Outer Regions into a Smallworld GIS format for future maintenance, distribution, and replacement of current drafting and CAD processes.

Accomplishments:
· Managed and coordinated the workflow for over 150 team members on two shifts. This included management of the production-tracking databases and quality assurance analysis of production team members.
· Trained 30 individual quality assurance team members on mapping guidelines and delivery standards.
· Responsible for testing and maintaining electrical connectivity of database consisting of over three million customers.
· Reported directly to the Mapping Committee and Distribution Dispatch Center leads on the status of key quality assurance findings that required conflict resolution in order to prevent delays in achieving our project’s quality, budget and delivery goals.
· Developed procedures and guidelines used in the delivery of new mapping standards within the organization.
· Promoted twice during course of this project from a GIS analyst to the key Quality Assurance Team Leader.

Alliant Energy Cedar Rapids, IA.
GIS Analyst responsible for data improvement projects and database clean-up within Smallworld for data conversion into ESRI and map distribution.

Accomplishments:
· Responsible for data clean-up of Alliant Energy’s electrical network that services more than 1.4 million customers in Iowa, Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin and includes 9,700 miles of electric transmission lines
· Alliant’s service territory covers 54,000 square miles in the heartland of America and mapped both primary and secondary electrical systems. Cleanup of database was conducted using aerial photos, address meter matching, GPS coordinate systems and existing customer database information to improve map quality and accuracy.
· Responsible for testing and maintaining electrical connectivity of database while incorporating sound cartographic principles.
· Cartographic desirability was conducted through strict visually inspecting, testing of plots at varying view extents, and overall presentation for field distribution.

GIS Analysis – Web Designer Collage Employment

Accomplishments:
· Upgraded data on Iowa DNR website through development of web-links to sister sites.
· Collected census data for past forty years to build a more accurate comparison database consisting of multiple data and graphic layers, DOQQ’s, and TIGER Files.
· Developed primer for internal coding of multiple data sources in order to bring data files together within an ESRI database.
· Gained experience with ArcIMS, ArcView, Java Script, and ArcInfo during development process.
