Rol's Sports Cards
When I bought my first pack of cards in 1957, I never thought I'd end up sharing my hobby with so many cool people all over the world. Al Kaline and Sandy Koufax are my favorite all-time players. The guys in my neighborhood, especially Bernd Freiny and Don Bagi, got me interested in the hobby, buying packs of cards at Al's Sunoco Station and trading cards with the kids in the neighborhood. Bernd and I went to see the Tigers a few times in the 50s and 60s. We had a blast!
I'm a low-budget collector, but I love the hobby, the sports, the memories, and the great people I meet. Card shows and trading websites have made the hobby more fun than ever for me.
