RALLY INFORMATION


THE FOLLOWING SCHEDULE REFERS TO THE NASHVILLE TCT RALLY THAT WAS HELD SEPTEMBER 23 - 27. ALTHOUGH THIS RALLY IS NOW PAST HISTORY, THE FORMAT FOR THE RALLY WILL CONTINUE TO BE POSTED HERE UNTIL NEW RALLY INFORMATION TAKES ITS PLACE. IF YOU ATTENDED THE NASHVILLE TCT RALLY, MAY I TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENDANCE. WE HOPE YOU WILL CONTINUE TO BE ACTIVE IN BOTH THE TIN CAN TOURIST CLUB AND, IF YOU OWN A SILVER AVION, ALSO IN THE SILVER AVION FELLOWSHIP. NASHVILLE TIN CAN TOURISTS RALLY--9/23 - 9/27 2009 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS

Wednesday, 9/23/09
--Arrival Day. Pay camping fee at office. Register for the Rally at the Muncy Avion Trailer (Flag and TCT sign in front). This will be be headquarters for the Rally.
--Get Set-up. Visit others as they arrive.
4:00 P.M. -- Orientation Meeting at Muncy Trailer. Bring your chair. After meeting, car-share to local restaurant(s) for evening meal (dutch treat), followed by campfire in camp near our TCT sites. Bring your chair.

Thursday, 9/24/09
--9:00 A.M. Breakfast pastries and coffee on table near the Headquarters trailer. Always bring your cup and chair.
--10:00 Shuffleboard Tournament (depending on interest).
--Remainder of morning and early afternoon--sightseeing on your own or with others--check with campground office for local area things to see and do. Be back in time for the BBQ Dinner at Pavilion followed by a Blue Grass Band. Pay for the meal at the office in advance ($8.00 per person)/
--Late Evening: Campfire. Bring your chair.

Friday, 9/25/09
--9:00 A.M. Breakfast pastries and coffee. Headquarters Trailer.
--10:00 A.M. Presentation and discussion of the Tin Can Tourists--Brief History and things going on today. Pavilion. Forrest Bone. Bring your chair.
--12:00 Noon. Group Meal. Pavilion. Meat will be furnished. Bring something to share. Bring your chair, drink, and place setting.
--Afternoon free for sightseeing. Be back in camp by 3:30 to car-share to the Wine/Cheese tasting event at the Winery. Entertainment by Stu Phillips (a Grand Ole Opry star). This is a free program !
--Late Evening: Campfire.

Saturday, 9/26/09
--9:00 A.M. Pancake/Sausage/Coffee breakfast. At the Pavilion. Bring your place setting, Cup and Chair.
--10:00 A.M to 3:00 P.M. Open House to visit Vintage RVs. If you want to participate by showing your RV, please Post a WELCOME / OPEN sign. Anyone visiting will be encouraged to vote for "The Most Impressive RV". Ballots, Instructions, and box will be available near the Headquarters Trailer (Muncys Avion).
--4:00 P.M. Name of the RV receiving the most votes will be posted at the Muncy trailer. An award will be mailed to the winner at a later time.
--Evening is open for eating out, attending shows, seeing attractions visiting others in camp, or whatever. Check with the campground office when you first arrive to determine the possibilities (such as Grand Ole Opry, other music shows, etc.). If arranged in advance, it may be possible to ride a shuttle bus to the show. This can be worked out with the campground office.
--Final Campfire.

Sunday, 9/27/09
--Normal departure day. Coffee available at the Muncy Trailer.
--Check with campground if you want to extend your stay.
