RAIL VERMONT mRR


The Rail Vermont mRR connects the cities of Burlington, Rutland, and Bellows Falls, Vermont and Hoosic Junction, NY with the freight agent and the operations offices located at the River Street Bridge in Rutland.
The RVT operates as the primary rail service of central and southern Vermont serving Vermont industries. Industries served are a concrete batch plant, beverage distributer, lumber dealers, talc plant, fuel terminal, marble quaries, plus trailer ramps at Burlington and Bellows Falls.
Active locomotives are S2 #101, RS3 #165, RS3 #166, RS11 #167, and GP38-2 #205, and RS1 #406
Locomotives stored are Tidewater RR GE 44T #44, East Fork & Indian Head RR SW8 #1027, Tidewater RR GP9 #803, and E&J Navigation Co. Pacific Coast Shay #28.
