Fantasians2

In April 1981 I created The Fantasians,a group of supernatural beings that roam the earth trying to fit into a world that has long since given up on the belief of them.In actuality,each character is loosely based on actual people that have played a role in my life.Some were friends,some were lovers,some were enemies and a few have been all three.Each month I have drawn up a "comic book" type cover to represent what had happened in that month,kinda like a journal of events in my life but with pictures.It's my way of recording my life,few really know what stories the pictures tell,only those that have become Fantasians know the truth behind it all.I keep telling myself that someday I will actually do something with these characters,perhaps a graphic novel,who knows,not even I,but for now they exist within' my mind waiting for the moment to reveal themselves to the real world

The fun thing for me is seeing how a character develops and changes over the years,there's been times when I wish I could go back in time and recreate the character,sometimes the original vision turns out to not really fit the person it's based on,cuz the more we get to know them the more your image of them changes.It's a kick for me to go back and look at how the character has changed and how my art style has evolved.What can I say?I'm a big geek!
