Come join the fun at the Pleasant Valley Rotary Club's Fourth Annual Wiffle Ball Tournament! The purpose of the tournament is to raise funds to support the programs of the Pleasant Valley Rotary Club. Games are low-impact and no running is required, so everyone can join in. The event will be held at Cady Field, behind the Pleasant Valley Town Hall on Saturday June 6th, 2009 beginning at 10:00 AM (rain date: Sunday, June 7th). Compete for glory and larger trophies this year; door prizes will be awarded and a 50/50 raffle is planned. Registration can be done in advance by sending an e-mail to PVRotary@Yahoo.com, by calling 635-3499 or by registering at Cady Field on the day of the event. Tickets are $25/person or $100/four-player team, and every player gets an event T-Shirt. Single players will be assigned to teams on the day of the tournament. Food vendor will be on site. Grab some friends for a day of fun and memories! See you at the ball field on June 6th!
We are working on a vendor fair/bake sale to be held in Oct. info will be posted soon. All proceeds will fund our scholarship foundation. Each year the PV Rotary awards several local graduating high school students scholarships to help offset the cost of their education.
Programs our club supports are: Pleasant Valley Town Sports, the Dictionary Project, Pleasant Valley Weekend (date TBA), Grace Smith House, Dutchess Outreach, Hudson River Housing, Food Bank of the Hudson Valley, Literacy Volunteers, RYLA, Scholarships (this year we awarded $3,000.00), Rotaplast, and Polio.
