Luke 9: 43 - 45 And they were all amazed at the majesty of God. But while everyone marveled at all the things which Jesus did, He said to His disciples, "Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men." But they did not understand this saying, and it was hidden from them so that they did not perceive it; and they were afraid to ask Him about this saying.
Part Eight
Dealing with the Truth
Could it be the disciples of Jesus sometimes had feelings of pride that they were Jesus' right hand men? They walked with Jesus and saw the people asking for healings and deliverances and Jesus never denied anyone. People marveled at the works of God and the disciples were associated with these supernatural events. The Lord had to let them know that it was not always going to be like this so He told them to listen very carefully. Jesus knew their heart and told them that I Am about to be betrayed and He told them to let these sayings sink down into their ears. Was the truth hidden from them by their own fear of what He said? Or was it legitimately hidden by God and they did not want to ask what it meant? The disciples already knew that Jesus could do anything and that He always spoke the truth so they did not want to admit, Jesus’ sayings, to themselves. We all have a safety net in our thinking that wants to deny things that are too painful. We adjust our thinking to lessen the pain and we dismiss it. This could be dangerous. But when we have a true heart to be honest, we could be like David and pray "Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;" (Psalms 139:23). One of the most merciful stories in the bible is when Nathan came to David and told him "you are the man". You could read this story in (2 Samuel 12:1-14). We don't know how long David was in denial and justified himself for what he did to Uriah. But thankfully God did not leave David to himself but sent a prophet to reveal his sin and David quickly repented. The disciples were afraid to ask Jesus what He meant because they did not want to hear and wake up from their false dream that Jesus would always be with them physically. Facing truth that is going on around us is not easy but with God's help we will come through. Jesus' death was a devastation to the disciples and they thought the life they knew was over. Actually the life they knew was over but a greater life was about to take place. The disciples suffered emotionally and feared the leaders but Jesus did not leave them to themselves but visited them after His resurrection. Jesus will never leave us to ourselves even in our devastation. He will not only see us through but He will give us a greater purpose for our life that will even touch other people. After Jesus' death and resurrection the disciples were filled with the Holy Spirit and began preaching the gospel for the world to hear. What is our story on how the resurrected Jesus in us saw us through? Let others know how Jesus touched your life and gave you purpose.
Dear Heavenly Father, Lord there is nothing about me that is hidden from You. So if I want to reject hearing the truth I am only kidding myself. Lord I surrender myself to You and give You permission to show me those things that have to change. Lord give me a desire for Your truth and help me face change triumphantly because I put my trust in You. In Jesus Name, Amen
The Invitation Of A Lifetime
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. Whether we believe it or not, our life does not end here. From the time of conception we became an eternal being and when we physically die we will leave this earth and go to our eternal destination. There are only two places to go and that is Heaven or Hell. Let us clear any "misconceptions" right now. The Bible does not speak of good people going to Heaven because there is no good people. St. Paul made it very clear in "Romans 3:12 All have turned away. Together, everyone has become useless. There is no one who does anything good; there is not even one." Another words, there is no naturally good deed that can save anyone, it is only the work of the Cross that Jesus died on that saves. Salvation is a "free gift" not anything we deserve or could earn. The Gospel, which means the "Good News" is the most "vital" message mankind will ever hear. The Gospel is the only message that has the power to change a person's heart. St. Paul said in "Romans 1:16: For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the Power of God to Salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek". Once a person hears the message that Jesus Christ, Messiah and Son of God was born of a virgin, died on a cross and rose from the dead, whether they believe it or not, they will never be the same again. That's how powerful it is. This message is so powerful that it will harden an unbelievers heart if they reject it. This is what St. Paul wrote about in "Romans 2:5 when he said: But in accordance with the hardness of your heart and your refusal to repent, you are treasuring up for yourself wrath in the day of wrath and revelation of the Righteous Judgment of God." Also it can give a believer the Grace to receive Christ as their Savior as written in "Ephesians 2:8 ... that you have been saved by Grace through believing. You did not save yourselves; it was a gift from God." Jesus is not just (A) way but (The) only way into Eternal Life. You might have heard a lot of different things about life and death and about religion, but you can, right now, receive the Truth which is the Answer and the Only way into Eternal Life by accepting Jesus the Anointed One who took our sins upon Himself so we could have Life and have it more abundantly (John 10:10). There is no promise for tomorrow for anyone, so today could be the last day of the rest of your life on earth. God said: "I call heaven and earth as witnesses today against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing; therefore choose life, that both you and your descendants may live (Deuteronomy 30:19)". There are religions that send their sons to kill and die for their cause. But God sent His Son to be killed and die so that we could live.

PROPHETIC INSPIRATIONS
As It Was in the Days of Elijah

The Lord is saying, "When the rapture occurs it shall not be as it is depicted in fictional stories where people see the remnants of the clothing strewn here and there and do not know what has happened to the people who are gone. But it shall be, says the Lord, even as it was in the days of Elijah when he was caught up in the chariot of fire and those who stood looking beheld the glory. That is why it is written, says the Lord that when the Son of Man shall descend that every eye shall behold Him and it shall be apparent, says the Lord, that God has brought salvation to His people. Yet for all this glory that the world shall behold, they will not repent or turn back to Me, but instead they shall turn to the anti-Christ for instruction and for comfort. But they shall find none and I shall turn them over, says the Lord, even as it is spoken in the Book of Revelation to the tormentors for the period of the tribulation.
For a short season, hell shall be released upon the people of this world until Jesus comes to set up the Millennial Reign and bring peace once again to the earth. They (the world) have sought, says the Lord, spiritual power while at the same time trying to deny My presence and My existence. They shall see spiritual power, those lying wonders of the anti-Christ that will be unleashed. They shall see, says the Lord the judgments that are poured out and they shall cry out, says the Lord, even to the rocks to hide them from that day. But death itself shall flee and they shall find no place of comfort because they did not give ear to the Words of My Salvation. When the day of redemption knocked upon their door, they did not open and say come in and sup with me.
I Am a merciful God and I do not wish that any should perish but that all should come to the knowledge of My Salvation. But man is stubborn in his heart and says, "I can do it by myself." They are stubborn in themselves and say, "There is another way to enlightenment and release from the burdens of mankind." They are stubborn, says the Lord and they say in themselves, "There is a philosophy that will bring about unity and peace to mankind." There is a way that seems right to a man, but the end thereof is destruction. There is no other way. There is no other plan. There is no other God except Me. I Am He, says the Lord and I Am the Way. I Am He, says the Lord and I Am the Door. Anyone who tries to come in any other way is a thief and a robber and is of no value in My Kingdom. Be forewarned, says the Lord. If you want to escape the fearsome things that are coming upon the earth, there is only one way. That way is to humble yourselves at the foot of the Cross of Jesus Christ the Righteous and allow the blood of the covenant to sprinkle you and to remit your sins. And I shall fill you, says the Lord, with the power of My Holy Spirit and make you ready to enter into My Kingdom."
