We Are No Longer Religious
Philippians 3: 5-6 I was circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, a Hebrew of the Hebrews; concerning the law, a Pharisee; concerning zeal, persecuting the church; concerning the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.

These two verses give us a picture of who Paul was before he was saved. He was considered a true Benjaminite because along with Judah the Benjaminites stayed faithful to the Davidic dynasty when the Nations split. Paul was born of parents who kept the Hebrew tradition. He was taught the law and would defend it even unto death. He truly believed he was doing God a service by persecuting the Church of Christ because the Christians followed Jesus not the law. Jesus Himself said in John 16:2 they will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service. This speaks of religious deception. Before Paul’s conversion he was being groomed to be the next Gamaliel. He was given the key to the city wherever he went. He was a very religious Pharisee, full of pride because of what he knew and what he was able to do because of the authority he was given. But when Jesus spoke to him on the road to Damascus he responded and said, "Lord, what do You want me to do?"Acts 9:6 There are many people who are religious but unfortunately they will never respond in this manner. Like He did to Paul, God has to break us from our old ways so that we will put our trust wholly in what Jesus did on the Cross. Through the years of Paul’s salvation he learned how each one of God’s laws showed us Jesus. There is a good chance that he also wrote the book of Hebrews which tells us that Jesus Christ is the fulfillment of the types and foreshadows displayed by the sacrifices under the law. Paul soon learned that all his teachings were not able to save him. There is nothing we have that God can use but what is conceived by the Holy Spirit. When God the Holy Spirit gave Paul the revelation of the Cross as he mentioned in Galatians 1:12, For I neither received it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came through the revelation of Jesus Christ, he was emphatic as he said in 1 Corinthians 2:2. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. Paul no longer relied on his religion but on the One who died for him who is Jesus. In order for any of us to be saved, we all must come the same way which is faith in Jesus and the Cross alone. There is only one message for people to be saved and that is faith in Jesus Christ and Him Crucified. There is nothing good enough we can do to be saved but to call out to the one and only Savior.
Dear Heavenly Father, Lord, I thank You for my changed heart that is not of any man but because You saved me. I give You all the praise. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.

God’s Invitation to All
Even though this is not a boxed gift, it is actually the very best gift in the whole world. There has never been a greater gift given or ever will be given in all of eternity. God loved us so much that even though He knew Adam would sin in the Garden, He already had a plan to redeem us so that we would not die in our sin and go to hell that was created for the devil and his angels. God gave His very best gift to us when He gave Jesus Christ, His only Son, to die on the cross in our place so that we would have the opportunity to repent and trust in Him. This is not a gift that will wear out and become obsolete one day. It will last for eternity. A gift is something that you usually have to reach out and accept. However, we never asked for this gift but God gave it to us freely, even though He knew we did not deserve it. This is what Christmas is all about. It is nice giving and receiving gifts from one another. But, unless we accept the most important gift that truly represents Christmas by repenting and trusting in God through His Son Jesus, our gift giving is in vain. How would we feel if we gave a wonderful gift to someone because we loved them and we knew how much they needed it and instead of appreciating the value of it, they tossed it aside? This is the very thing that many do to God by denying Jesus and tossing Him aside. Every one of us has broken God's laws and we all deserve to be punished. Jesus, who never sinned, died in our place, suffering our shame and punishment on the Cross. He did this for us so that we can be forgiven when we see our need for Him and receive God's awesome gift to mankind. Truly celebrate Christmas this year for the real reason, by receiving God's Eternal Gift of His Son Jesus Christ. Ask God to forgive you and ask Him to save you so that you can be born again as Jesus told Nicodemus in John 3:3.

PROPHETIC INSPIRATIONS
A Word of Judgment and Deliverance
December 6, 2008
The Lord said, "Do you hear the Word of the Lord that is being spoken to this generation? It is a Word of judgment and of deliverance. It is a Word of judgment because of the fearsome things that are coming upon the earth. Men's hearts are literally beginning to fail for fear. It is a Word of deliverance because I have promised that those of you who have not denied My Name, I will keep you from the hour of testing.
I have issued a command, says the Lord and said, 'Come out from among this perverse generation and be separate. Be holy even as I Am holy, says the Lord.' There are those in My Church that have said (to themselves) that they have to imitate the ways of the world in order to bring people into the Kingdom of God, but that is not so says the Lord. There is only one way to bring people into the Kingdom of God and that is by presenting to them the Cross of Jesus Christ and telling them that they need a Savior.
Do not be dismayed My people at the tribulations that will come. Governments will be in upheaval and finances will fail, but he who leans on My Everlasting Arm shall be safe. He is the one who abides under the shadow of the Almighty God.
I have already spoken, says the Lord and said, 'I will never leave you nor forsake you.' This is a promise that I have given to My people, to those who are called by My Name and this promise stands steadfast and sure. Put your trust in Me, says the Lord and listen to the Voice of My Holy Spirit. Do not put your trust in the ways or plans of men. Do not trust in the riches of this world but set your sight upon things that are heavenly. The only things that will last and the only substance that shall endure are my Words that I have given you. They will uphold you in the times of distress and they will comfort you in your times of sorrow and they will deliver you from the judgment that is coming upon the world."
