Putting on the Armour’s of God
By: Bro. Michael Miles

Txt: Eph. 6:12 & 13
· “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”
· “Wherefore take unto you the whole Armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.”

As a Christian in the world we face evil everyday. If not at home then in school, if not school then at work, if not work then in you car. The bible tells us in John 14 “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me”. We can do this by putting on the armors that God hath provided for us to wear. I’m not talking about putting on physical Armour; I’m talking about spiritual Armour.

God gave us different types of armors for us to put on: He gave us the Armour of creativity, the Armour of joy, the Armour of fairness, etc… Tonight I’m going to talk to you guys about the Armour of Faith and the Armour of Righteousness.

Putting on the Armour of Faith
· The word faith means being loyal and true to God.
· When as Christians we put on the Armour of Faith, we can believe that God will be with us for the day.
· We can believe this by wearing the Armour of Faith the best of our ability.
· The bible says in Hebrew 11: 1 “Now Faith is the substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen”, which is true.

Putting on the Armour of Righteousness
· The word Righteousness means to do right in the Sight of God.
· When wearing the Armour of Righteousness you have to exceed the Righteousness of the Scribes and Pharisees.
· The bible says in Matt. 5:20,”For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the Kingdom of Heaven.”
· If that means hat you should have a sin free day then so be it you shall have a sin free day.
· In the sight of God stealing a cookie is the same sin as stealing a car,
Don’t steal a cookie and please don’t steal a car.

Conclusion
When as Christians, we wear these 2 Armour’s that the lord hath provided for us then that’s when our spirits can become Teflon. Anything or anyone that tries to harm us, they won’t even know how they hurt us because they won’t know that they hurt us. I urge you children of God to wear the Armour’s in the name of Jesus.
