FOCUS MINISTRIES- Taking the world for Christ one student at a time.
What is FOCUS? Focus is a ministry based out of North Alabama that exists to lead students to a personal relationship with JESUS CHRIST.
What does FOCUS do? Focus does Youth Rallies, Youth Revivals, Christian School Organization meetings, or Adult Revivals.
Who does the preaching? Jason Duskin is a 22 year old Seminary Student currently attending New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary Extension Center in Birmingham, Al. Jason was saved at the age of 12 and after about three years fell out of church. After 2 years of living a prodigal's life Jason rededicated at a Dawsom McAllister Youth Rally. In March of 1999 Jason surrendered to God's call to ministry. He is currently serving as Youth Pastor at Highland Baptist Church in Morgan City, AL.
FOR NON-CHRISTIANS
We all as people have a problem in life. It is a problem that you or I do not have to the power to fix on our own. That problem is sin. The Bible tells us in Romans 3:23 that we have all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. And because we have all sinned against God, God has imposed a sentence on all our lives and that sentence is death.(Romans 6:23) We all know that people die, its obvious, one day that person will be you. The death that the Bible talks about however is not a physical death only, it is also the death of your spirit. And if you die in sin you will pay the death penalty and spend eternity in hell. Even though God has imposed this sentence He has also allowed us to plea bargain to get around the death sentence. In Romans 5:8 the Bible says that God showed His love towards us that even while we were sinners he sent His Son Jesus to die for us. And because Jesus died for our sins we can be forgiven. All we have to do is believe that Jesus died for our sins and confess that He is Lord with our mouth. If you would like to become a Christian then just repeat this prayer at the bottom....
Jesus,
I believe you died for my sins. Jesus I also believe that you are the Son of God and because I believe that I ask you to come into my life and save me from my sins and be my Lord. I want to follow you Jesus and I want to serve you. Thank you for saving me. AMEN
