Getting God To Answer Your Prayers By Gary Colin
Many people commented that God doesnot answer their prayers. They say that they pray, or pray often, but it doesnot seem like God answers any of their prayers. Many person wonders if God actually cares about their personal life. Some say that "God is Dead". Others claim that God is selfish, and only answers certain prayers.
This website will examine why it seems that God may not answer prayers.
This website also advises you to click on the below web links: "Growing With God", and "Day 1335 Jewish Redemption And The Coming Again of Jesus Messiah (Son of Man)".
All these web page give many supporting Bible Scriptures and spiritual advice. Those who are really seeking a True Spiritual relationship with God no longer need to be in the "dark" when it comes to God answering your prayers, and what the future holds for you, and planet earth in God's purposes.
Let's Begin.
It's wonderful to have so much freedom in the United States of America! We can basically go where we want, do what we want, and can usually say what we want with out worrying about retribution. This freedom is very desireable. Yet with such freedom comes great responsibility ( ). God never intended His human creatures to be so independent. The Biblical God (including Jesus Christ) always gave instructions for followers to obey. The Bible always advised such things as humility, consideration, chasteness, respect, and other "neighborly" qualities.
Thus a person's frame of mind toward God and others is essential toward God approved prayers. We all are guilty of sin (Romans 5:12; Romans 6:23). Thus we all must Repent and gain God's Approval.
Let's define what "God Approved" prayers are. God approved prayers are prayers made to God by those who approach Him on His terms.
God refused to hear the prayers of Wicked King Saul because Saul refused to obey God's Commands. Saul was more interested in pleasing the people than God. God became enraged with King Saul and refused to hear (consider) Saul's concerns.
Read all of John Chapter 17 (John 17:1-26). Jesus makes it clear that God's disciples were to be in this world. Yet, they were not to be part of this world. One of the biggest makes people make is to mix the Bible's God with the ways of this world. We even see "Christian" music and artist resembling the entertainers of this world.
God is suppose to come first in our lives. All other things are to "exist" around our Godly Devotion (Matthew 6:25-34). When we begin to put other things first, "squeezing" God in where we can, our approach and "attitude" toward God changes. O "turning" Our turning God "on and off" actions cause Him to draw away from answering our prayers.
Let's review, before we go further. Daily Bible study and heartfelt prayers should be a daily routine. It should be something we look forward to. And it should be something we do to learn from. Read Exodus 24:18. So Moses enters a cloud and "gats" up into the mountain. What was the significance of all of this? What did the cloud represent? And why did Moses have to enter this cloud to get to God's Mountain (mount)? If you regularly follow this study method when reading the Bible, you will be on your way to understanding the Mysteries of God's Holy Bible.
Yes. God doesnot make it easy. If God made things easy, we would learn it immediately, and get distracted in this world. God keeps us progressively growing with His Spirit, by revealing His mysteries "step" by "step". This is why Jesus spoke in parables.
Many religious people study the same information over and over again. They attempt to serve God through repeated services, songs, and information. Jesus warned against reptition. God want's passion and life. This is why Jesus calls His Church, "wife". Jesus does not want warm, luke warm, cold, or repetitive worship. I guarantee, that if you read the Bible every day, and ask questions every day, you will learn something new about the Bible's mysteries EVERY DAY! That's what God wants.
When we show God that we actually care about HIM (since He wrote the Entire Bible), He will be more inclined to care about our personal lives, and will answer our prayers.
Does this mean that we can't have fun? Does this mean that we can enjoy this world? Does this mean that we miss good opportunities to increase Bible study?
No. It doesn't mean any of those things. Let's be realistic. There are 24 hours in a day. Most people have to work jobs for at least 10 hours a day. 24 minus 10 equals 14 hours. Let's take 8 hours for rest for the 14. We now have 6 hours. Let's take one hour for daily travel time. We now have 5 hours remaining to eat, consult with family (or associates), handle personal matters, and hopefully PERSONALLY Grow With God!. NO! Going to Church doesn't PERSONALLY Connect YOU to God. It doesn't matter how active you are in your religion. This does not grant you God's approval when you pray.
You must regularly, actually find time to read, study, and understand God's Word (the Holy Bible). Well how can you understand it. God has teachers on planet earth. It's up to you to seek out which Bible teachers actually explain the Bible. You might have to compare teacher to teacher. You might want to find out this teacher's background, or the history of his religion. Many religions were founded by organizations known for ungodly worship. Never trust a teacher, or join their religion with out finding out who these individuals are, and how they got started. The Internet is an exhaustive source of information.
I agree that none of this is easy. Yet, we find time to do everything that we want in life. God knows this. This is why He holds us PERSONALLY responsible.
We've learned to shun the world's way of "meism". We've learned to respect others, and respect God. We've learned to really study the Bible and actually learn the "whys" of the Bible. Why did Jesus walk on the sea? When and Why did Peter begin to sink? This is how we learn God's Mysteries and Grow with God's Spirit. We've learned not to let any Teacher or religion hold us back from Growing With The God of the Bible. We've learned to regularly consider God's Word (the Holy Bible) many times during the week.
Now, let's get back to praying prayers that God Hears or answers.
Once a person's personality begins to change Godward, the way they approach God, and what they pray about will also change. They'll begin to conclude prayers with, "if it be Your Will, Lord. In Jesus' Name Amen". This person no longer approaches God with "meism". They now pray with an unselfish, considerate prayer. They then leave it up to God to respond as He so chooses.
Many religious teachers teach that God will abundantly bless His people. We must understand this. God's people have always struggle with financial problems, personality conflicts, or life's problems. God may bless someone spiritually, but not materially. God may allow someone to grow materially, but they may be sluggish spiritually. It is not our place to wonder why things are the way they are.
It is our responsibility to grow with God, approaching Him for direction, provision, and forgiveness.
When we pray, it's wise to keep a list what we prayed for. We can then reveal the list to see what prayers God answered and what prayers He did not answer. We can study the timing of God answering prayers, and how He answered. We can see if He ever answered the other prayers, or we might learn why He did not answer such prayers.
God sees into our future. We might feel that a mercedes benz is the car we need. God may only provide an aged honda. We would have to "deal" with this provision, until we're able to advance to something else.
It's always good to keep an optimistic attitude. Read Job Chapter 1 and Chapter 2. God will always send "satans" our way to test us. This negative energy is used to keep us looking to God for direction, provisions, and guidance. If we become vexed at life's woes, or at God, we will draw away from Him. This drawing away would affect our prayers being answered.
Walking with God might not be as fun as American's freedom. People in foreign countries might not understand such freedom. Yet, God promises to be with all His people, when the great nations of this world are crushed in the Great Tribulation, The Time of Trouble, and finally, Armaggeddon.
