The state of being possessed.

2. Something owned: property

3. Control, as of one's emotions or actions.

4. The state of being dominated as by an evil
spirit

5. A territory ruled by a foreign power

Possessed:

1. Controlled by or as if by a supernatural force.

Possession many times is a subtle occurrence, which takes place within an individual gradually; progressing slowly but surely. This is not to be confused with demonic possession, which Hollywood has seized on numerous occasions; instilling much fear in the minds of the masses. Re-sparking, if not, simply keeping aflame fear of the unknown.

In order to avoid or extinguish possession, one must first get rid of fear and the best way to accomplish such a task, is to make the unknown - known.

demon:

1. An evil being : devil

2. A persistently vexatious person, force, or
drive.

3. One who zealously undertakes an activity

vexatious:

1. An act of vexing or the state of being vexed.

2. A source of annoyance

Demons cannot arbitrarily take over or own a person's soul on sheer Will. This can only occur if the person allows it either willingly or ignorantly; for in said matter, ignorance is no excuse and quite the magnet.

However, possession of a force, undemonic in nature, a much more frequent occurrence; has always been and will continue to be in our lives. In labeling the possession as either good or evil, I believe the thoughts, words, and actions of the possessed individuals speak for themselves. I do not believe in a good possession, for the simple fact that possession signifies ownership. A being composed of a loving, positive nature would never choose to own; instead it would choose to share, exchange, instruct with plenty of room for independent growth..allowing for mistakes/lessons. Ownership of your soul is not in question because as stated in previous chapters, the nature of the soul is not dualistic, therefore cannot and should not be labeled good or evil and under no circumstances can it become good or evil. The soul simply is.

The nature of the human mind however, is dualistic and so if possession were to occur, it would start in the mind, where two of the greatest illusions exist; Fear and Ego.

This is the very reason why being possessed is a gradual process. Once the mind is initiated by a possessing being or force; it must then deal with veiling or camouflaging the true nature of the soul. Please remember this. No being can change the nature of the soul. It can only make you think differently about the nature of the soul. This illusion is just one of many to come, but it is a major one. I like to refer to it as switching polarities. If you were to open a battery operated device and turn the batteries in opposite directions, making positive face negative and negative face positive, the device will not work. The device however is not broke.

At this time, I would like to introduce a common form of entry beings use to initiate possession and that is knowledge. Knowledge, much like the soul, is not dualistic in nature, but where is knowledge stored? If an individual acquires knowledge and attaches the Ego to elevate the Self in such a manner that the individual feels society is indebted to them or undeserving of acquiring or learning said knowledge; possession is surely at work.

There are certain things we do not know and with good reason, such as remembering every single lifetime. Now, once possession is initiated by a being that uses an individual's attraction for superior knowledge as entry; the depth of knowledge said being will make available to the individual is done so to keep the mind dependent upon its new found source. Mental and spiritual, are not one and the same; yet people often "think" they are growing spiritually; and actually be headed in the wrong direction. Increased knowledge does not mean you've acquired the right knowledge.
